What is the best time to get up on the Magic so as not to miss anything? I have read where some of you get up at 4:00am and others just sleep in. Just would like to know. Also.....

Does anyone ever get a hot shower in their stateroom or is it always lukewarm?

We had hot showers. We usually get up around 7-8. Ket me stand corrected, I get up then, DH is awake around 5. Sorry about his luck.

I think it depends on what you want to do. Check the navigator the night before and then decide.

We usually got up around 6-630. I don't know about the stateroom showers since I always went to the spa for a shower, much better water pressure and real conditioner in there!

Except for the day in St. Thomas when we HAD to get up early, and the last day, when we HAD to get off the ship, we normally slept until 8 or 9 am.
I've been on 7 cruises, the last on Disney. Disney IS different in that it attracts an early to bed, early to rise crowd compared to other lines. Likely due to the number of kids.

We typically do the three day and sleep in on Nassau day. We don't bother to disembark anyway, so it's nice to sleep in and then have room service delivered for a late breakfast on the verandah. Same thing is good for sea days on the Magic, although they sometimes do have good activities early. In that case, I will drag my lazy carcass out of bed, but normally I prefer staying out late to being an early riser. Lots to do at night!
And by the way, our water is usually hot!

I agree with Aprilgail...I get up at 630, go to spa for workout...I bring my clothes for the day with me, and request locker room key...I shower and get ready at the spa locker room...the showers are nice and big, with great amenities like liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner

Thank you....great replies! This really does help me with planning. I would love to hear what time others get up and morning rituals. Feel free to add more!

Debbie

We usually get up around the crack of 1 PM when the sun is warm. It's really hard on my constitution to get up before noon!

I'd like to hear too, great question!

Sonic Logic - that sounds so good, but I can't imagine it! Sounds like you have a nice restfull vacation!

I think I'm going to have to check out this spa shower thing next time. I like the idea of getting up doing a quick routine then jumping into the spa showers and getting ready for the day before comming back to the room. Is it real crowded in the am???

Oh no, the great showers in the spa is no longer a secret. I hope that they do not become to crowded.

I quietly change into my Fresh Produce dress (love that brand and they have their own stores in some of the ports) and head out of the room. I rarely sleep in and am usually roaming deck 9 at 6:30 - 7:00am. I get my coffee, and enjoy the quiet time.

When the Cove Cafe opens, I get a cappucino and log onto the 'net for a bit. There's nothing better than sipping my coffee and visiting the DIS. :D

Regina, that sounds like a perfect plan-- alas, with two little ones, my DH would kill me if I disappeared in the morning!! :teeth:

I would wake up between 6 and 7 and hang out on the verandah. My DS6 would get up shortly after me and we would wait for room service to call and say they were on their way with coffee and pastries. Then hang out and have coffee on the verandah once DW awoke. Good way to relax and get to go have a real breakfast. No rush to do any early activities though. Loved getting up early and watching the activity in port at St. Maarten. Us docking, the Golden Princess docking next to us. That was fun.

Same here. I love to get up for sunrise at sea.

Quite frankly, I feel closer to God at those moments than I do most Sundays in church.

I get up at 6:30 & go run on deck 4 or in the work-out room. Rest of family gets up around 7:30-8:00

I'm one that can't sleep in on the ship. Even with an inside stateroom, the latest I slept on our 10 day was 7:30 (and that was the day we had switched times, so it was really 6:30 according to my body clock). I usually walk around deck 4 for 2 miles, then get breakfast (my trip reports are pretty boring about that time frame!).

I typically take my shower in the afternoon/evening after I've used the pool. My family's usually sleeping when I'd shower in the morning, and I don't want to wake them up. We've never had problems with hot water, even we we take 4 showers/baths in a row. I brought my own conditioner, but I did use the spa shower the day I bought the rainforest pass, and their stuff is really great!

DH and I would usually be up by 7:30, shower and dress and head to Topsiders for breakfast. Our dd's(15 and 12) would usually sleep until 9-10am and then go meet their friends for breakfast. DH and I would return to the room after breakfast and change and head to the Quiet Cove pool for a few hours.

Wow! That was a profound statement! Great to hear something like that! I am sure it is beautiful, and now I think I'm gonna have to get up early enough to watch one of those sunrises!
