We have all of our ADR's made, just doing some tweeking on the times perhaps. We have (2) @ 5:30pm, (3) @ 6:10pm, (1) @ 8:40pm and (1) @ Dolphin Fountain so it's whatever time we want. I thought these were a good variety of times to play with.:confused3

I'm weighting eating first, and touring park after dinner vs. touring first and eating later. There are 5, maybe 6 in our group: DH and me, plus DD and friends ages 19-23.:scared1:

What is everyone's experience?princess:

Since we eat at 6:00 PM at home and WDW is one hour ahead for us, I try to reserve at 7:00. I got all 7:00's, except for one 6:45 and one 6:50.

It's a very individual thing, but since we became parents, we love to eat early. We make our reservations at 6 p.m. This is practically lunch time for my family, but when they come to Disney, they seem to like eating earlier.

We have friends with kids that want us to go to dinner with them at like 8:30 at night, and it seems so obscene! At one time 8:30 was totally normal!:confused3 So I guess you should concur with your fellow diners!

We make our dinners as early as possible usually 4-6, gets us out of the heat of the day, and when we finnish, its plenty of time to see the night time entertainment, and the crowds of commandos have usually run out of gas.:rotfl:

I agree. Eating earlier certainly helps when you have kids. DS13 even gets tired around 9:00.

This is a little extreme!

We have made ADR's for around 7pm and would normally eat at about that time, often on holiday(vacation) we tend to eat later.

9 p.m. or later when at WDW. We find there are somewhat fewer children in the restaurants if we eat later.

We tend to either skip breakfast or just have a snack in the room so we have an early lunch - 11:00 to 11:30am depending on what time the counter service restaurant opens. We find that even on busy days there are very few lines at these times :)

In the evening we eat anytime between 6 and 8pm depending on when we can get an ADR and what we have planned for the evening.
If we are doing CS, then we eat when we feel like it :)

I just made my ADR's last night. We generally eat about 7 or 7:30 at home and I made my ADR's for about that time 7:30, 7:45 and I will make a Raglan Road for 8:30. We want to be there for the entertainment and we have planned a late start for the next morning.
Eating earlier than this would not work for us

I have a 3 yr old, so eating earlier is better for us.

Our ressies are for 4:30-5:15.

This way we have enough time to see some of the evening festivites...

The only late ressies I have is on our arrival day as we really wanted to do Whispering Canyon Cafe, and the only thing we could get was 8:10pm..:scared1:

Why are you scared of an 8.10pm dinner reservation?

My DD's are older (23 & 20) so the time doesn't matter in that respect. It's getting them started in the morning that is a problem. No one wants to get up early and hit the parks anymore like we did when they were little, and they want to spend the afternoon at the pool when it's hot. So that means that a lot of our park touring will be in the evening.

I'm thinking that a late dinner reservation gives you more time in the park. My 8:40 pm ressie at Le Cellier will keep me in Epcot well past the closing time of 9pm! :woohoo: While we won't be able to do any rides when we're done eating, it's nice just to stoll around on our way out.:goodvibes

we always get the first available dinner seating (4pm and on)

at home we eat early (DH leaves for work before 6am, gets home around 330pm, so dinner is usually around 430pm anyway)

so that's the time our tummies need to be fed! (even at disney!)

I'd be scared of an 8:10 dinner reservation too, if I had a three year old! Heck, I wouldn't do it with my 4 and 7 year old!!! :lmao:

With the Kids usually b/w 6-7 pm. Without the kids 8:30 or later..... It also depends on what times I can get.
