What time did stay up / wake up to you book FP?

You can book for you whole trip at the 60 day window.

We booked late this year, 2 days into our 60 day window. I made our FP+ right after resort package booking and was able to get everything we wanted, A&E, 7DMT, all the major attractions. There are a lot more FP+ available than ADRs as rides operate at a much higher capacity than restaurants. I have also been able to make adjustments into the 30 Day window no problem.

I stayed up until 11 CT. I wanted A&E and 7DMT that went quickly. Our MK day was a few days into the trip. Think ADR plus 10. I thought it went fast so then I did a few more, but it became time consuming quickly. I continued on the next morning and then revamped most things that evening. By the time I finished, everything is nice, orderly and flows nicely one into the next.

So I know that you can book your FP attractions starting midnight 60 days before your arrival. Just wondering what time you are planning on going on the computer to book yours? i.e. Are you / did you stay up until midnight , or wake up early, or just book at your convenience? And what time of year are you coming? e.g. we are coming 3rd week in Oct so not the busiest time of year but not the slowest either.

PS - I am still in the planning stage, but do have some popular ones such as Anna and Elsa, Soarin, Toy Story Mania

Our 60 day window hit at midnight today! DS, DD, and I watched Frozen at 10:15 and it ended just before midnight. Was on the computer at the stroke of midnight and got all of the FP's we wanted including A&E at 9:50-10:50 am!!! Mine Train after that one! We are going to be in WDW 8/15-8/24!!! :yay:

OP here. Thank you all. I guess I'm a bit anxious for getting Anna & Elsa (my DD would go crazy...but no way I'll stand in the regular stand by line). During our trip, we'll have 2 MK days with dinner ADRs so could book for either one of those, but on one of them we are a bit restricted as we have BBB in the afternoon (but I don't think this blocks off too much time). And of course, also want to get one for Soarin at Epcot and Toy Story Mania at HS (have yet to go through MK attractions in detail so not sure what we'll want there outside of A&E)

One question...is FP+ like ADRs where at 60 days before your arrival you can book FP for all of your trip? Or do can you only book exactly 60 days prior?

PS - I am NOT a night owl so I'm actually one who prefers to get up early such as with the ADR booking than stay up late...but would do so if this is the best strategy

If you want A&E for earlier in the day, then book it at 12:00 am eastern. If you are ok with evening, it won't be so critical to book right at midnight.

On first MK day, we have dinner ADR at 5:40pm and I want to make sure the catch the Electrical Parade...so perhaps that night would work, but not sure if too tight.

On second MK day, we have also have dinner ADR at 5:50pm but will be kicked out of the park after as it'll be MNSSHP.

So think we would really want / require morning or afternoon for A&E

My **guess** for the 3rd week in Oct. is that it wouldn't be critical to make your FP's right at midnight or 6 a.m. - except for the dreaded A&E:surfweb: Our first time with FP+ was mid Feb. I booked our FastPasses about.......40 days out? Just b/c I'm resistant to change lol. Got everything I wanted when I wanted it, and moved things around about 200 times before our trip. Of course that was before A&E and 7DMT FP's and Splash was closed, but it did include the President's Day holiday. Like a PP said, even though you're not a night owl your best bet is probably trying for a morning A&E at midnight, even if you wait until morning to book the rest. I don't think you'll have a problem getting Soarin', TSMM, etc. if you wait until then ;)

Thank you. Good to hear you got all your choices at 40 days out.
Well, picturing my DD5's face, I think it might be worth it to keep myself up and try and get her to meet her favorite princesses (and she'll meet the others at ARDs)

My 60th day falls at Midnight next Friday, which also happens to be my DW's last day of school (teacher). We plan on making a little party out of it (It's OK if she's groggy on the last day, all they do is show Disney movies anyway). We're gonna put our DS down for the night, fire up some of our favorite flicks, maybe have an adult beverage and at the stroke of midnight FP the heck out of some SDMT.

Spoiler: We are dorks :D

That's awesome...so exciting and fun to stay up together.
We haven't told our kids yet about Disney. I so want to and let them share in the excitement, but if we tell them now, then my DD will be asking multiple times a day...until Oct...how many days. ;) Am thinking about 6 weeks before (but that will be after FP selection)

I'm assuming you have to have tickets in hand? I just booked my trip today for July 19-27.

My understanding is as long as your trip is linked in MDE on the Disney site, you can book the FP+.

I was there last week, so the crowds were starting to pick up, but maybe not quite the summer rush yet. This was a last minute trip, so we didn't have tickets ordered until about three weeks before. I was able to make all the FP's I wanted at pretty much the times I would prefer even that close to the trip. That includes Soarin, TSM, Big Thunder, etc.

Not physically, since you'll pick them up at Guest Relations. But you do have to have them ordered and have a confirmation number. Better yet, make sure you're all set with a My Disney Experience account, order thru that and you can set up your FP's right away.

I'll probably book them about a couple of weeks before I go for the ones I think I might want...I know I don't care about Anna and Elsa though. Wont' be back until September so no summer crowds.

I booked them at about 4 in the afternoon at my 60 day mark. I got Toy Story, Soarin', Test Track and all the other headliners I wanted with no problem and my choice of times. I didn't book Anna and Elsa until about a week after that because I didn't know my 14 year old daughter wanted to see them. And still I had no problems getting a time for any day of our trip except July 3rd and 4th.

Neither one.

I'm going to be in Orlando next month off site and plan to go over to WDW as my schedule allows. I've been making day by day FP with my AP as each day hits 30 days out.

No problem making FP (mostly MK as I want to try SDMT), in fact I forgot two times and had to make the day before's FP as well. I tend to remember mid afternoon so that's when I make them.

Anna and Elsa has been offered every day as well but I don't care about M&G so didn't make those.

I had to pick my daughter up from work around 1130pm and got home a few minutes before midnight. I stayed up and started at 1200am. I was done within 15 minutes or so.

We have been many times so we are laid back in our planning. There are certain rides we want to hit but don't care about the specific times, only a general timespan.

Okay, I'm a confused West-Coaster here. We check in at POFQ August 16th. My 60 day is June 17th. But since reservations open at midnight I thought I could book them at 9pm West Coast time tonight. When I log in to MDE it shows I have 60 days until my trip, lets me do online check in...and then says I can only make FP+ for 30 days out. My tickets are linked, my resort shows up...take pity on a tired West Coast teacher who spent 9 hours cleaning out her classroom today. What am I doing wrong? Does it recognize that it's not June 17th yet for me? And if so-doesn't that give the East Coast folks an advantage? And if not, please be gentle with me...it was a rough school year!

If you see the other thread.... everyone else was having the same problem, looks like a glitch in the system... It's back to normal now at 1am est
