What time can we disembark in Vancouver?

Planning our return flights. Posted return time says 8 am. Is that the ship's return to port or the earliest time to disembark? Looking at noon flights.

Ours said that last year as well. I think we were pulling into our spot around 6:45/7AM. Express walkoff ended up being around 7:30/7:45AM. (We had first breakfast seating, then waited for our luggage tags to be called, off the ship by 9AM...couldn't find all our luggage and had to fill out a claim form, did customs--very easy for US citizens, then outside by 9:30AM.) Airport is 1/2 hr drive (without traffic) from port. Disney says earliest flight time should be Noon, so you should be okay if you do express walkoff.

Disney shows it as Guest Ashore time, so I assume that's the first time cruisers disembark. My experience with other lines is that those with excursions and early flights are first ones off.

Your post title was a bit confusing. If you're talking about the end of your Alaskan cruise, you actually disembark in Vancouver, Canada. Anyway, we were off the ship by 9:00 AM.

DCL recommends:
Please allow ample time for all your travel connections. We recommend the following flight-time guidelines for most Vancouver sailings:

  • Latest arrival time to Vancouver International Airport on Embarkation Day: 1:00 PM
  • Earliest departure time from Vancouver International Airport on Debarkation Day: 12:00 PM

You're right about the title, I meant from our Alaska cruise.

What is express walk off? Do we keep our bags rather than putting them out the night before and just take them off with us?

I just looked at our debarkation sheet. Yes, you'd keep your bags and take them off with you once express walk off has been announced (around 8AM). There is no luggage assistance with this. You must be within the customs allowance/not owe any duty in order to do express walk off.

If you have first seating and want to do breakfast, breakfast was at 7:15 or 7:30AM depending on the restaurant. Second seating is at 8:30 and 8:45AM, so breakfast is no more than 1 hr long. If you're doing express walkoff, you could just leave with your luggage right after breakfast...just know that there is very little room for your bags in the restaurants.
