What time are virtual queues first released in the morning? Also what to do on-site while waiting before park open?

I know we will need to be on site to reserve. We will probably be hanging at City Walk since our hotel is offsite- around what time are the first virtual queues released for the day? If park opens to the regular folk at 9 and has early entry at 8, should I start checking around 8:30?

Also, any recommendations for coffee/breakfast to go in the city walk area so we can munch while waiting?

thanks so much! It’s been over 10 years since we’ve been to UO and so much has changed!!

I can't speak to the VQs, but Cinnabon, Starbucks, and Voodoo Donuts will all be open early at City Walk for breakfast. I think there's a kiosk on the water side with breakfast/coffee too. Depending on how much time you have to kill, you could also walk to one of the three premier resorts which each have quick breakfasts and sit down breakfasts. You can walk to all three of the resorts from City Walk. The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel is my favorite sit down breakfast, and HRH would be the closest walk too.

Ok so I just looked at the menu for voodoo donuts and that looks like a total win for our family!! 😋
