I have already orderd a 14 Day Ultimate Ticket for Disney.
I am thinking of getting a 2 day universal pass and a 1 day SeaWorld ticket.

We are not doing bush gardens as it seems more of a thrill ride place and we won't be doing Discovery cove as dd is too young and I don't swim.

Have you considered getting at least one Annual Pass for WDW?

You may get an AP discount off your room at the Poly. plus all the other AP discounts.

I always get the Ultimate 14 day pass. Ive never been to Universal so have never bought tickets for there.

Where do you buy annual tickets from?

You can phone Disney direct to order an AP (you get a voucher that needs activation on your first visit to a park)
Call 001 407-9347 639 (WDISNEY).

or

You can get one from the Disney stores at Orlando Airport on arrival.

or

You can get one from any Guest Relations at the parks or DTD.

With the good exchange rate APs work out quite good value, expecially if you use a CC that does not charge for foreign currency transactions (Nationwide).

There are two types of AP:

Standard AP (Just main 4 parks) and Premium AP (include waterparks, DQ and PI).

it would depend on what the discounts are as I don't think we will be going back in 2008?

Would we get a discounts on MVMCP tickets?

Do you get discounts at TS resturants with an AP?

we did not book dinning plan in the end, as we will probably only eat 1 main meal a day and sometimes we share are own meals with dd, so it was not worth it for us.

AP is $462.21 (~£250 @ $1.85/£).
PAP is $595.34 (~£322 @ $1.85/£).

Only the person making the room booking needs an AP to get the room discounts.
Room discounts are currently $25 off Value, $50 off Moderate and $75 off Deluxe per night.

So for 14 nights at a deluxe an AP will save you $1050!

Once you have an AP you can get a DDE card for $50. This entitles you to 20% off table service meals in WDW (there are a few exceptions like Xmas Day).
AP on its own gives 10% off some meals and a discount off shopping in WDW stores.
You also get 50% discount off mini-golf :)

Wow that is really good, I never knew that! See you learn something new on the Dis everyday!! :teeth: Thats definately something to think about as we will probably go next August as well as this Xmas.

we are there for 12 days but we bought a 14 day pass, the difference in price from a 7 day pass was silly money, something like a tenner !!

what tickets do you buy?

We used to but 5 day park hoppers (before they changed it to the Magic Your Way(sic) debacle) which was more than enough Disney for a 2 week stay. We also get the 5 park / 14 day flex tickets the Universal / Sea World / Busch parks.

We usually get the 14-Day Unlimited Disney one (or whatever the equivalant is - last two times it was called something else) and then either the 4 or 5-park Orlanda Flexi ticket. Next week *squeal* we're only going with the 4-park ticket - it seemed pointless paying an extra £25 each for a park that we're not too bothered about and that takes forever to get to! :thumbsup2

That's my feeling about 14/21 day Disney Ultimate tickets ;)

I bought the Majic your way with hopper park tickets because the Ultimate Ticket had all the water parks added on and I didn't think we would use them all. Seems UK folks have only two options from the travel agents here, but if you go to someone else - like Undercovertourist you can get any combination you want.

I love the freedom of the 14 day Ultimate ticket and the 4 park Flex. Last year we had the 5 park Flex, but I don't think we'll be going to Busch Gardens for a long time!

7 Day Premium for Disney (with hopping and this time waterparks, we didn't last time but did in 2002)
5 park Orlando flex
Kennedy space center

Our choice of Disney ticket varies depending on the holiday, but at the moment we've got 8 days left of a non-expiring 10 day Magic Your Way ticket with Park Hopping, but without the Water Parks option. That should see us through our holiday next year with any luck.

As for the other parks, we get a SeaWorld Silver Annual Pass, as it's only about $35 more than a one-day ticket and we typically make at least three visits each trip, plus you get free parking and 10% off food.

Universal will probably be a 1 day, 2 park ticket as we're going at a VERY off-peak time and so should get both parks done in one day.

Just as a kinda side note to this (rather than starting a new thread), has anyone ever used www.themepark-tickets.com to get their tickets or heard anything good/bad about them?

We've ordered the 14 day ultimate Disney ticket, just because it gives alot of freedom.
