What things do you regret not doing on your last cruise? I just want to make sure that we don't miss out on anything fun. Thanks.

Going to the top deck and looking out at the ocean.
Smooching at sunset with DH!! (We both had colds!!)

Rae

We just sat on our verandah and looked at it, Buckaroo's Dad! We decided that with our colds, smooching just wasn't very appealing!!!

Now did you really think that MOI would be with someone else?!!
BAD, BAD BD!!!!!!! Just wait til I tell your Mama on you!!!

Rae

Reading and relaxing more on Deck 4 and the Wine Tasting. Out of 7 DCL cruises, still have not tried the wine tasting seminiar. That is top on the list for this May cruise!!

Taking more time for myself. We won a 7 day pass to the Rainforest. I only used it once. It was heavenly! I wish I had used it more. Next time I will definitely buy the pass myself. What a peaceful place to relax! :-)

Everytime we go we try to tell ourselves we need to wait for a little while to go again. This last time we thought sensibly while on board but then lost all self control once we got home. So needless to say we are going again without the onboard return crusier credit since we didn't re-book on board. We are planning ahead and saving the deposit $$ prior to going so it won't feel like such a hit to the walet when we have to pay it.

1- Who wants to be an millionaire?
2- Did not attend the sailaway party...will do next time....
3- won free pass to rainforest spa thing...at bingo...will use it next time...
4-spa
5- other than that we totally did everything fun!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jester: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Tropical deck party. In the 4 cruises we've been on we've never made it. This last time I wasn't feeling well that night. This May I'm going to make sure and take a nap that day so that we can finally make it. :)

Yes! I always "forget" about those parties at night and the big Dessert Buffet (since I don't like desserts much) - but that's some of the other things I forget to do!!

Rae

We actually did get to the dessert buffet on our last 7 day. Try to go even if just to see the creations they made. Fantastic.

Kind of late for eating, but well worth it for the artistic value.

house_of_princesses..the rainforest is a place at the Vista Spa where you can relax on heated loungers, sit in the saunas, take a fog shower...all while listening to gentle music and the sound of water dripping from a water fountain in the middle of the room. It is very relaxing. I wish I had sneaked off more often and done this. Check out this site for more info...

I regret......not winning BINGO grand prize and staying on the MAGIC for the Western Carib cruise. We would have missed that awful blizzard upon our return!!! (sweet memories)
My true regrets were not taking more down time and enjoying the scenery. I promise to ditch the navigators every other day and just wing it!

The next time I will spend more time on deck 10 even at night.

I will go to the dessert buffet that I miss the first time.

I will go to the party at night for adult.

I regret not doing the Rainforest till our 5th cruise and then only doing it one night. We will book that treat for the whole week on our next cruise.
Having to many group projects going on and not giving myself enough time to just relax.
I regret not being able to stay awake to go to the Gala Desserts Buffet. Something about the ship makes me sleepy, must be all that rockin.
Not booking our next cruise while we were aboard last year. We thought we could go a year without a Disney Cruise. Who were we kidding.
Eating way to much and gaining back the weight I lost before the cruise.

Laura24 - you know that's some very good advise - get rid of the Navigator for a day and just relax!

I start planning the day as soon as the Navigator arrives and start getting anxious that we won't be able to do this or that. Compulsive planning really takes the relaxation out of the cruise and for that, I will heed your advise and TRY VERY HARD to not look at it at least once during the cruise!!!!

Hi there Rae. For me there is nothing more relaxing than taking a crisp new navigator out on the verandah and compulsively planning the next day's onboard activities. My son would often walk briskly to Scoops and bring back ice cream as I showed him what's available. One evening he asked, "Can I skip lunch and just stay in the pool?" I asked him why he would want to skip having a meal with Daddy and Grandma. He said, "We don't have any pool time for tomorrow!" I immediately began editing...

Yes, I love planning vacations. However, I learned a long time ago that a family vacation without flexibility is in no one's best interest. But I sure do enjoy the challenge!

Very true - compulsive planning can ruin the fun! We try to follow DS's lead, somedays he wants to hang out with us, other days with the Kid's Club - same with meals, although at home we always eat together, when it's vacation time - he gets to make his own decisions.

After all, that's what vacation stands for!!!! FUN!

Rae

(I think I'll start packing!)
