Let's see where to start... I too dislike Tyler Perry movies, but I do respect the story of how he got to where he is. He showed a lot of perseverance, but his movies are too goofy and hokey for me.
I'm a female, and I absolutely hate weddings. I couldn't wait for the planning of mine to be over (never a fan of being the center of attention.)
I am a youngish black woman, but please don't assume I have a bunch of kids at home -- I've none. Those French toast sticks, OJ and industrial size box of Goldfish crackers in my cart at Sam's Club were for me (but don't worry, I exercise so I'm well within my appropriate weight)
I have 'natural' (no relaxers or straighteners) coily black hair. No, I am not making a political statement with it, nor am I an 'angry black woman.' I'm actually very easy to talk to and relate to. I smile and joke
a lot, I wish people wouldn't act as though they are afraid to approach me. I just prefer the ease of dealing with my natural hair.
I'm not a huge fan of rap, but there are a few songs I like. One would probably think my iPod belonged to someone with multiple personalities because of the 'eclectic' mix of music.
I couldn't tell you the last guest Oprah had on her show, much less what her latest book club selection is -- I'm not a fan. (Had a librarian at the public library ask if I was reading 'The Road' for Oprah's book club not too long ago.)
Never liked romance novels. I've been reading Dean Kootnz and the like since I was a fifth grader.
I am now a stay at home wife/student. I'm glad I don't have time to sit around eating bon bons and drinking coffee (oh yeah, I hate coffee too, oddly enough, it makes me sleepy.) I had a neighbor ask my husband if I was 'up yet,' at 9 a.m. one morning.
I don't get the appeal of most reality shows and why we Americans latch on to certain nonsensical trends.
I like to think I can speak the king's English fairly well. Sometimes my brain works faster than my mouth, but a good portion of the time what I say makes sense

Slang gives me a headache both in listening to and attempting to read (as does a lot of 'net shorthand too!)
