I would go for a neutral bedroom, where you can easily change the theme with accessories. The walls in a neutral color but lamp shades, pillows, throw blankets, sheets, curtains that can be switched if you want to change the theme.

ok any ideas

Wall decals are a great way to change the decor to reflect your interests without changing everything. You can easily put them on the wall and remove them without damaging the wall when you want to change them. For example, if you search online for Paw Patrol wall decals you'll find some Paw Patrol ones. There's wall decals for almost every interest. If you have trouble falling asleep I suggest you paint your walls blue because it's a relaxing color.

I would choose a colorful comforter such as this one or one with stripes or polka dots. You can then buy pillowcases decorated with whatever you're interested in. I would use white sheets because you can bleach them if you wet the bed.

I vote Bubble guppies because they would go with pastel colors, which I find calming for a bedroom. Like others said, neutral walls, a plain comforter, and then add artwork, throw pillows, etc. in your chosen decor. I do that especially when I'm doing anything themed. I enjoy being surrounded by things I love, but don't want to overdo the theming in case I get tired of it. Although I don't change decor often, it's nice to know it would be easy to do with a few simple switch outs.

Bonjour @bluey1

Just so it's clear. When someone says a neutral colour, they usually mean something like an eggshell or a light grey so that you can modify the room as you wish with wall decals and the like. Neutral colours afford you this ability rather than something like bright green. Many of the paint companies make neutral colours in different tones that might be appealing to you. I would go to a home improvement store and check out some samples to see what you like. Best of luck.

Hi Bluey! My 28-year old son also has autism and loves trains. The walls of his room and his bedding are neutral, but he's collected a lot of train items that he loves. He has a few train pictures hung up, a train crossing signal (that lights up) on his desk and he gets a new train calendar to hang up every year. You seem to have a wide variety of interests. You could even choose a few themes that would work well together. I'm sure whatever you choose will make a nice and comfortable room for you!

I would pick up a bunch of fun posters for everything you like, frame them and put them up. A nice neutral paint like beige or a light gray would be good because then you can swap out the posters as your favorites change. If this isn't enough you could do more than one grouping. I would match the bedding colors to the wall so it is a super calming space and maybe put up some shelves for your figures if you have any.Screenshot 2023-10-29 at 3.47.36 PM.png
Or maybe something like this:

This way, if you are having a tough time you can take down all the bright colors and have a calmer space and put them back up when you feel like it.
