When every point is used in one calendar year, 97% of the resort is full. If they start letting everyone who needs to bank points late or rebank points, there will not be enough vacancy for every owner to book. Especially if they are doing renovations, which I think will probably be shifted to later dates if they haven't already begun that renovation. Plus if you consider two to three months worth of unused points. They will have to come up with another suggestions, like crediting member fees for the lost points from March 20, 2010 to June 30, 2020. they can't give out free stuff since none of that free stuff belongs to DVC. It belongs to Disney Hotels or Disney Theme parks or Disney stores or Disney Dining.
Adding an extension to the contract should only involve those who lost points, not the entire ownership for that resort. It's bad enough what will happen at OKW with the two end dates, but for partial months? And many of us will be long dead by that time. I'd like to bet if they included that clause it would expire on transfer or sale of the contract. So ultimately, no one will get an extension to their contract.
How much longer do you think Terri Schulz will be around?
