CAN SOMEONE PLEAZZZZ TELL ME WHAT DISNEY DOLLARS ARE---WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR----HOW DO YOU GET THEMMM

They are like money, only Disney money. You can get them at The Disney Stores in denominations of $1, $5, & $10. Each one has a different character on them, like real money has presidents. I usually give them to my niece and nephews for Christmas & their birthdays. They usually buy something they want at The Disney Store. You can use them anywhere in WDW...for food, lodging, souvenirs, etc. They don't cost anymore than the face value.

Think of it almost like a gift certificate....you purchase Disney Dollars (gift certs....) for face value, then you redeem them at WDW or the Disney Store....

They are very similar to real American dollars, but as Dopey Sharon pointed out they have Disney characters on them instead of presidents. ( I shall refrain from any political commentary that may be running thru my head at the present moment! ) They are really quite cute...and make great gifts for the Disney-crazed members of your family!

we use them for allowance for dd to help her save spending money for the upcomig trip...she gets half her allowance in cash and the other in DD. We also put them in birthday cards, xmas stockings, easter eggs, etc. They are sooo cute, my favorite right now is the $10 with Tinkerbelle on it.

DH and I even turn rebates/rewards that can't be used at DW on their own (like a Mastercard giftcard that will expire before the trip) into DD so we can't spend it on something else.

Kids get a real kick out of them. Putting some in dd's copy of 'Kingdom Hearts' (a new disney/fantasy role playing game for ps2) for xmas. And some in the stocking, too.

Sorry Arizonacolbys, as much as we would like to see that - there is no DC discount on Disney Dollars. It is an even exchange.

But, you of course can use your DC discount when purchasing with Disney Dollars.
