What temp do you keep your house?!?!

Air conditioning? What's that? Here in Western New York State we have "nature's air conditioners" more commonly known as the Great Lakes. We have a window fan and several ceiling fans only. Now, the winter is another story. We heat with a wood stove and set our furnace at 55 degrees. We don't spend very much on heat. :thumbsup2

We live in SFL - it's HUMID. So if it's over 80* outside, the air is on. Keep it at 78. We have celing fans in every room, and a few other floor fans here and there. Like one next to our beds and one here by the computer. So it usually feels like around 70-75 depending.

We almost never turn the heat on, I think maybe a week total this past winter. It has to be 40* outside for me to do that, and it would be set at 65. But we all can handle cold better than heat.

Hey OP this may sound a little crazy (at first) but have you thought about getting an extra portable AC for your hubs? I'm honestly not sure how coast effective it would be. But I think it might be something worth looking into so you don't have to freeze all the time.
