Thu. Nov 4 - MK Spectromagic Parade is 6:00 and Wishes 7:00. Where can we stake out a good spot to see both?

We do this all the time. Get a spot stay in it for both. Personally I'd just try to grab a curb along Main Street. I love watching the fireworks going off up over the castle.

If you go to the train station, and up to the top level, you'll have an EXCELLENT view of both.

Be aware though - even in the off season, those spots can go more than an hour in advance of Spectromagic.

What I personally like to do is watch Spectro from somewhere in the middle of Frontierland. Then, once the last float has passed, use one of those breezeways to cross into adventureland, head over to the crystal palace and then through the shops on Main Street until you're somewhere in the middle of main street. Then, just make sure there's no roof over your head (ie those little porch coverings). The further back, the better, but you'll have a nice view no matter where you are on main street.

I have watched Spectro from the hub in front of cinderellas castle. This was packed. I have often seen people eating at the two end restaurants on main street watching wishes. I wondered if people thought this was a good viewing area.

Wait...which end of Main Street?

If you mean near Casey's Hot Dogs, that's a good place to view.

If you mean near Tony's - NO!!! Because it's set in to the side of Main Street, the Confectionary will block your view.

We are planning to stake out a spot to the right of the Walt & Mickey statue, just across from the handicapped viewing area.

I hope this will also give us a good view of Tink if she flys for the fireworks.

Train Station Balcony - The ultimate viewing spot for Spectro! But - in 2000 I had to hold down our 2nd row seats for 3 hours!!!!!!! A group from the UK got the front row by staking them out 4 hours!!!!
This was "off season" in early October.

Snacky yes I meant Caseys. Is it an icecream shop on the opposite corner?

I thought this too and tried it during our June visit. I was disappointed in seeing Wishes from the Train Station though. I felt it was so far away from the fireworks that the 'wow' factor wasn't as high for me. I also like being down closer to the floats during the parade. Just strictly my opinion.

We were talking to the folks beside us who were smack dab in the middle against the rail and they said they arrived 4 hours :o :o early to get those seats!!

I like to get a seat on the curb in the hub that looks across to the bridge leading to Liberty Square. Usually you need to get there 1 - 1 1/2 hours early for the seats. The parade turns right there and you get an extra long time to see the floats because of it! Then, you just stand up, turn 90 degrees to your right and you're staring at the castle - and you can still see Tink really well!

I guess it is just personal preference! :)

I like that spot for the exact reason you dont! :) Because it's a panoramic view. Everything is in my line of vision.

gf and i watched wishes from the walt/mickey area. the lights were off everywhere down main street except for the photo/candy store and the left corner store. the lights were distracting and seemed to take away from the show.. we plan to watch further up main st or the tomorrowland bridge area.

The is some out door seating on the right side of the end of Main Street (if you're looking at the castle). The Plaza Pavillion has tables and chairs that provided an excellent view of the castle, Tink, and Wishes. We could see the parade, but it wouldn't be an ideal viewing spot for Spectromagic.
