I started walking on the treadmill a week ago. The first 2 days I went for 10 min, next 2 days went for 15 min, next 2 days 20 min, and the past 2 days 25 min. I'm hoping tomorrow I can get to 30 min
I really struggled today for that 25 min. I have to watch tv to keep focused on something (I like the Game Show Network
), but those last 5 minutes was at the end of a show and I think I was just getting bored with the commercials and losing focus. Anyway, I've been setting my speed at 2.5 and it's a pretty comfortable pace for me. Eventually I want to walk at least 1 hour a day. My question is do you think time, distance or speed is more important?? I've never stuck with the treadmill 7 days in a row and don't want to push too fast or too hard, but I want to make the best use of my time and energy to get the best results. Should I stay at my current speed and time, or should I up my speed to 3 and cut back on the time?? Thanks for your support
