What souvenier do you wish you'd bought?

On my last trip, I held the Aztec gold medallion from the Pirates movie in my hand and decided naaah -- $10 for something I'll never wear? Now I realize that I would have worn it practically daily, and I'm very very miffed with myself.

My boyfriend bought it and said he would wear it and it's still sitting in the package! LoL

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I have not gotten...our theory is "we're on vacation, just get it!"

Why do we do that, anyway? It must be a money issue at the time or something. Last trip, dh wanted a Goofy watch, and decided he could find one back home cheaper. Nope! I told him we're getting it this time if it's still there! I'm buying myself a monorail for the Christmas tree, I say every year I will and don't. I also need Christmas ornaments! I'm taking an empty suitcase, because I'm buying it all! :mickeyjum

on our first trip to WDW in '05 I saw the most amazing jacket in the resort store at CBR. I hemmed and hawed and fretted and foed and decided I didn't 'need' it. For 12 months I whined about how I should have gotten it. I would wake up thinking about this jacket. So this year, I went a looking, could I find it - NO of course not!

I did however find one that is similar, and in fact, a little nicer. So, after about 5 minutes of contemplating getting it, I decided to spring for myself and buy it. It was expensive, for a jacket $65.00. I don't spend that on myself for anything!! But, I didn't want another year of whould haves and should haves.

I wore it for the first time today, and I felt amazing!! yeah for me!!

There is a phone number to call where you can purchase items you forgot to purchase at disney over the phone. I don't know the number or how it works, but I'm sure the reservations people might have it.

The phone number is on the bottom of every receipt from every Disney store! (even the ones at the malls) Be warned, however, I paid as much for shipping as my frame cost! :rotfl:

Just returned from WDW last week and I regret not buying a snowglobe I saw at DTD and at PC! It had 4 small snowglobes representing each park on one big base with Mickey! It was so cute - it was the cost and the hassle with travel regulations that kept me from buying it - but I sure wish I had just shipped it home. I guess that means a call to WDW mail order!! :)

MGM: couple of trips ago saw a Villans(sp?) beach towel. The ones with the females. Last trip the store didnt have it. In fact that store has gone pretty downhill the last few years, concentrating on Jack Skelington stuff instead.

what cookbook were you looking at? I told BF that I wanted t2 of them for Christmas-is there a 3rd

This was our first trip to WDW, so I'm not sure if I was looking at an "old" one or a new one. It was white, about 9x12 inches and I think was title something like Recipes of WDW resorts and Restaurants. It had Mickey on the left hand lower side and was spiral bound hardback. I think the first place I saw it was in World Showcase so I wondered if it was due to the Food and Wine Festival. Yeah, I really wish I had gotten it! (I spent the whole week looking for and fretting over getting Aurora's autograph--different post, different stress  lol!) I keep thinking about the yummy spinach and garlic dip we had at the GF Cafe and wondering if the recipe was in there!

I C...it sounds like one of the 2 I want...thanks...
You can get them thru Disney Merchandise...I have to have all of those numbers handy for him for Christmas!!! I want my cookbooks!

When we were there in 2000, my dh wanted to buy me a really nice MM ring, however, we were on a shoestring budget and had no extra money. It's really, really bothered him for the past 6 years, so, this year, my husband is buying me the ring of HIS choice! I'm SO excited - he picks out great jewelry! I thought my 40th bday present was the week at Disney, but my present is the ring! Gotta admit, I'm kinda scared....he's set aside $2,000 for a ring and I'll be a'scared to wear it! (But I'm still glad he spoils me!) Now, I gotta get busy and reserve his Tee Times & RPDE!

A cell as well for me. It was a Lion King cell in 1994 I think at Epcot and now I can't remember the exact image but I remember it was signed by James Earl Jones. OHHH, I wish I had bought that. It was $300 and it was one of the last days of our trip so we were low on funds. I went looking for it each time I went back to WDW and never found anything remotely close. :guilty: le sigh :guilty:

But I'm THANKFUL for threads like this and the shopping list one that get me thinking about my MUST HAVES before I go!

This is EXACTLY why we bought 2 of the hugest suitcases ever! of course, I wasn't THINKING about allowed weight on the plane! :rolleyes1 LOL SOOOOO, I'll be shipping some stuff for sure! I'd hate to be there and not buy something because I didn't have room to get it home. See it? Like it? BUY IT! If you can!
