What sounds keep you up at night?

Clocks, people talking, loud music or tv from the neighbors. I have sensitive hearing, so things don't have to be really loud to keep me up.

Also, in my neighborhood: fireworks at the most random times of the year (and random times of the day - but I'm awake for the daylight ones).

Bar up the street. They have an outside deck with a DJ on the weekends. Only if I have the window open.

In the cold months - nothing
In the warm months - neighbors being to loud when they have friends over

The only thing I hear at night is cars going on the road next to us.....but I have grown used to that.
The only thing that wakes me up, is DH slamming a door....bedroom, bathroom

Teenagers. They were up til 3:30 am this morning. It is the baby years all over again with the teenagers keeping vampire hours.

Winds during a storm, especially in the winter. I'm afraid a tree might fall on the house.

Everything. Cars, people talking, trains, flag poles clinking, coyotes, bugs, clocks ticking, wind, rain, sump pump, ice maker. I have to use my noise machine app to drown it all out.

Neighbors. We have some that like their bass beat on their stereo up so that my heart feels like it's pulsing to the beat. Can't hear the actual music, just the bass beat. And other neighbors who like to have parties. They turn the music down at 11:59 because the police always get called if they are loud past midnight.

The baseboard hot water heaters clanging when the heat comes on. I can't wait until it's warm enough to not need the heat on anymore.

We fixed that by installing a water hammer arrestor in our basement. It's cheap and easy to fix.

Everything! The cat running after a ball, husband snoring, neighbors slamming doors. I use a sound machine and a fan to try to drown out outside noises.

I think it's more the expansion and contraction combined with bad pipe routing through the walls. The worst area just happens to be right near my bedroom. The house originally had electric heat and changed to baseboard hot water at some later date. The way they ran the pipes in some areas is... interesting.
