What sort of foolishness would you like to see?-The end 9/27

Your to do list sounds great! And I agree, a Disney to do list sure beats any other kind of list!

We'll be there at the same time! I arrive the 21st!

*Dear Disney-ever make a red headed princess shirt with Giselle or Ariel on it, and Hedy is so there. Capisce?

Hey! I am finally reading this TR. I am so late to the party, but better late than never, right? Not caught up yet, but soon.

Anyway, I have a few Ariel shirts - my fave princess since I am red-headed - from when the Disney store by me closed down. I'll take some photos if I remember and post them.

Also, I learned I need a lot more liquid than I thought I did (I was so dehydrated I didn't want my free wine! ) so I think I may suck it up and buy nasty Dasani, as lugging a zillion bottles of Poland Spring around doesn't thrill me.

Have you thought about one of those filtered water bottles? I actually have not used one, as I lug the water bottles around, but I have heard they help with the bad water taste and that would be only one thing to lug.

Ok, all caught up now! You are so gonna have fun with the boys. I am waiting ever so patiently for my brother and his wife to get pregnant and have a kid so I can spoil him/her and taken him/her to Disney!!! I am buying into DVC in 2 years so I'll be all prepared!

A couple of questions for you....

How do you earn enough on Sunshine Rewards to cash out? I try to do their surveys and I will get like 8 minutes into one and then it will say I didn't qualify, so I get very annoyed that they let me get 8 minutes into it before they told me that so I stop doing them for awhile. Then I'll start back a few days later and the same carp happens! I can't stand it!!!!!!! Arghhhhh!

Also, you said you got the code for the Dolphin from DU? What is DU? Just trying to get up to speed on Hedy TRs!

With Sunshine Rewards, I generally cap the number of daily surveys I try before I give up (the survey company adds them all the time, so if you dont have any available at one, you may get one at four.) I also do some of the free offers (use a junk e-mail address, and get an e-phone number-AIM makes them). Also, shopping definitely boosts my balance-if you're shopping online anyway, you might as well go through SR.

DU is Dreams Unlimited, they're the travel agency owned by the people who own the DIS.

Glad to see you back on the DIS!

Ah ok. I just don't have the patience for the surveys I guess. Well, I don't generally have the time for them either. I did get a junk email addy and did sighn up for a few things, but I forget to go back on. I don't shop too much online and when I do, it is at Victoria's Secret whichisn't covered anywhere, or at Crocs. Sometimes at DisneyShopping. Is that covered under SR? If the place is covered, I usually shop through MyPoints.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I am going to try and check in often, but I go back to work tomorrow - I teach - and the first month is crazy - like 12 hour days.

In the I could not script this if I tried file:
When I entered the house of Jack, Sally, Mordie and Ferdie yesterday, Mordie and Ferdie were watching the episode of Full House where they all go to WDW. I kid you not, I managed to impress them by explaining why Steve appeared as Aladdin, although Mordie pointed out that Steve wasn't just Aladdin.

They then received their gifts, they both knew their lanyards were for pin trading immediately. Mordie looked into his bag, saw an autograph book, and asked "You talked to Minnie about this, didn't you?" I said that Minnie had said they wanted them, and Mordie agreed. Ferdie was mainly interested in his retractable Sharpie. They proudly showed Jack their lanyards. We headed off to the theatre, Mordie was highly amused by Magic Kingdom in the sky, which is on my "Mordie" playlist of appropriate songs for the boys. I had left my copy of Walt Disney World Trivia in the backseat, and Mordie got to work preaching it to Ferdie, as well as quizing him. Feride was quite proud when he got the year WDW was opened in right (even though he confessed to Mamakat that he guessed). As we were riding along, Mordie started prodding Ferdie as to what they would do if their hotels had bunkbeds. I responded they did not, but it came out something like "no, neither of your hotels have bunkbeds," like "no bunkbeds for you!" or something. Apparently Auntie Heather should not park the car and discuss WDW at the same time.

Our seats were good; however, there was a group of three women next to us and two girls behind us, who did not stop talking the entire time. I swear, it took every bone in my body not to passive aggressively praise Mordie and Ferdie for behaving (and , gasp, occasionally whispering to each other, as refined threatre-goers do, rather than talking at full volume). ;) Mordie was highly amused at the 50's themed pre-show warnings that took place, which I took as a good omen for his enjoyment of 50's PTC. They show was very good, it's a theatre in the round, which I felt they used to their advantage more this year than during HSM last year. The stage was decorated with records, I asked if the boys knew what they were. Mordie correctly identified them, Ferdie said he thought they were CD's, as he knew they had to do with music. Shockingly, we discussed WDW during intermission. Mordie announced that he and Ferdie were seeing Fantasmic, even though it "scared me to death when I was five. I've only been so scared one other time in my life." I asked when else. Mordie didn't know. Ferdie is looking forward to ToT, but "wants" to try RnR-can't fault that honesty. LOL. Mordie is also gung-ho to try Summit Plummet, which worries me a little-Mordie's slender, and I'm convinced he's going to snap in two or something. Ferdie also wants to try it, but think he may be too short. We enjoyed the rest of the show.

In the car to the mall, the boys discussed their plans to go on Kali, then go on EE to dry off. I told them some people joke about going on Primval Whirl to spin off dry, they asked if it worked. They were planning on getting two fastpasses, one for Kali, one for EE, until I pointed out you pretty much can't do that. Ferdie wants to go on Everest 10 times in a row, and then Ferdie and Mordie were discussing how it would be if they were the only people on EE. At this point, Mordie pointed out that Ferdie got sick on EE the last trip in 06. Ferdie argued he was not sick, he just didn't like it (his actual words to Mickey were "I didn't like that ride."). This then devolved into a discussion of what would happen if the Yeti was real and it escaped.

Once we were at the mall, we met up with the MamaKat. I prompted them to tell MamaKat about their gifts. "I got a lanyahd and a Sharpie!" Announced Ferdie. He then mentioned the autograph book. Apparently Mordie and Ferdie are writing a letter to WDW suggesting they set up a "House of Mouse" on Main St USA. They plan on using their Sharpies. MamaKat asked what their plans were their first day. "Sleep." Replied Mordie."And the next day?" "We're going to Epcot. There are two things I want to do, but my mom and dad can pick."

Everyone else is at 12 days! I'm at 18! Woohoo!

Hi Hedy! Your discussion with the boys made me laugh out loud - literaly!

I think I need to have a chat with the boys about the beds for this trip again - if they're still thinking about bunk beds, I have a feeling the sleeper sofa they are going to be sleeping on is going to be a bit of a shock...

To back Ferdie up, he in fact did not get "sick" on Everest last time, but he was white as a ghost when the ride ended. (You've heard the story how 3 of us, including me, ended up leaving our hats on the ride that day because we were so worried about Ferdie, right?)

Mordie's been talking to me a lot about Summit Plummit as well, and I'm with you - definately concerned. I'm guessing Jack may be concerned too, as he is the one who is probably going to have to ride it with him. Although Mordie did do Slush Gusher last time and loved it.

Mordie's comment about the first day totally cracked me up... if you had asked me what we were doing our first day I would have said Epcot (not counting our arrival at 11pm the night before as our "first day"). But of course, he's right :rotfl:

I remember several of you losing your hats, I just couldn't remember who lost their hats and whose was in the car. :rotfl:

My mom was trying so hard to keep a straight face, but that's so Mordie...then again, my ticker is set to the 22nd as I get into MCO at 11:50 on the 21st.

*Decide what to do about packing (I'm leaning towards packing the 3oz CVS sunscreen again, and buying more if need be)-done thanks to Minnie!
*Take inventory of glowsticks (I have a package that has now gone to and from Orlando 2x). Decide if I need to get more and if I am bringing them.-Sally said she got a bunch at BJ's for a weekend camping trip, so I think I'm bringing mine in case Mordie and Ferdie are interested.
*Contact Tiffany towncar and give them my updated schedule/locations.-done
*Decide if I'm having Disney ship my luggage from Pop to Dolphin, or if I will take a cab to get the luggage from pt A to pt B.-I'm leaning towards having them transferred.
*Get goggles and watershoes.-done! Thanks CVS and Olympia Sports!
*call Pop to let them know I'll be in late-still need to do.
*I also need to ensure that I have both Mickey and Minnie's correct cellphone numbers.

I found my DIS unplugged shirt (it was in my Disney bag...that's almost as illogical as me putting my bathing suit in a packing cube in my suitcase for storage). I'm thinking I may wear it on Sunday, but we shall see.

Am I the only weirdo who uses other people's trips as a ticker? First Kim is going to WDW tomorrow, and then Pierresgirl leaves, than I go! And the Olympics are starting, and for month's I've been using the Olympics as an almost there countdown.

Wow-two weeks and I'll be at PVD after work. :cool1: :cool1:
Funny story-the Mamakat (who's driving me to PVD), was looking at her appt book the other week, and was all "Heather 9pm, what's that?" Than she remembered.
ETA-Just hit me that the family has 9 days until they leave-whoa! :)

Two weeks and I'll be at MK or TL! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

So I pretty much just need to pack and call Pop. I keep on playing the...but I could wear _____ game. Players have included my Magic Kingdom shirt, my DISUnplugged shirt, and my Lion King on Broadway shirt. We shall see what I end up packing. :rotfl: I'm also planning on packing an extra hat, in case Ferdie reacts to EE again*.

*Pictures I really should have taken-contents of park touring bag when I was going to Universal-it included two pair of sunglasses (in addition to the pair I packed), five pens (not including a Sharpie for autographs), ten handiwipe packets, two first aid kits, and two bottles of hand sanitizer. :rotfl: :rotfl:

So we celebrated Ferdie’s 9th birthday yesterday. All had a good time. I gave Ferdie Disney Dollars and I renewed his Ranger Rick subscription. Mordie and Ferdie had spent the night at Mickey and Minnie’s the night before-they’d brought their lanyards to show them. Minnie gave them some of the pins she’d got on eBay-she gave me three (hidden Mickey-w00t!) . Minnie also provided me with a copy of the planning schedule :). I can’t believe it’s almost here-as I hugged Mordie and Ferdie goodbye yesterday I commented that the next time I see them will be in WDW. Wow.

Also, Mordie is reviewing all the food he eats at WDW, ala the Phantom Gourmet-Minnie made a little form for him. I'm so proud (mock sniff)-I shall teach him the fine art of food photography. Mordie's food reviews should be interesting-he's prone to ordering off the children's menu, despite being 12, but is a fairly adventurous eater*. Ferdie is also doing food reviews, however, given that the kid has a mac n cheese problem (he orders it constantly, but will pick at other people's plates), his should be interesting.

*For a kid who ate beige food the first 10 years of his life, he's moved onto eating lots of stuff with hot sauce, and wolfed down asparagus at Christmas.

I have successfully gotten on Jetblue's mobile site on my phone.

Nine years ago tonight, my mother, father, grandmother and I went to see a production at a local community theatre. We came home to find nine messages on the machine. I, being the high quality teenager I was  yelled "DAAAD! THERE ARE NINE MESSAGES ON THE MACHINE!" He came into the room "Did Sally have the baby?" Pardon me for thinking you might want to hear the news on the birth of your newest grandchild. I really wish we'd saved the messages, they were hysterical...Ferdie approached birth with the same joie de vivre that's kept him going the past nine years*. So, happy 9th birthday Ferdie. Back when I told them I was going, Ferdie said "You're going to Disney World the week after my birthday?" :rotfl: Apparently Minnie has organized a surprise birthday dinner for him during the trip.
I've begun organizing a packing list. I'm foolishly trying to hold off on going to CVS until I'm sure I have everything I need.
Clothes:
*Moisture wicking shorts, skort, skirtsx2
*Moisture wicking shirtsx3, DIS unplugged shirt**, New York Mickey shirt.
*tankini, rashguard, swim shorts
*Crocs-mary jane and adaras, water shoes
*goggles, at least 1 extra pair of sunglasses
*Spare hat (either my tinkerbell one or my Lion King one)

Stuff for park bag:
*autograph book and pressed penny book
*quarters and pennies in a tube (I need to take stock of these)
*first aid kit
*misty mate
*cool tie (possibly not, were kind of a pain at UO)
*windbreaker
*sunblock
*body glide

Chargers
Singles for tips
Disney dollars and gift cards

I transferred my Dream Reward Dollars to my card, so that's one thing done.

*It amuses me that both Mordie and Ferdie have stories surround them that seem so dated now-we were on vacation when Jack and Sally announced Mordie was on his way, so we found out a bit after everyone else.
**Please tell me I'm not the only one amused that white was listed as a what not to wear on the DIS Unplugged, when DIS Unplugged shirts are...white.

And...the look at the 10 day weather.com forecast and freak out has begun. They're predicting thunder storms (which, one one hand, duh it's FL in August), which has me already :scared1: :scared1: . Also, they're predicting that for pretty much every day the family is there, for now. :( Oh well, a rainy day in WDW beats a sunny day at home, right?

Can I get a...single digit dance? :cool1: :cool1:
And everyone else is at three days..holy cow!
This time next week, I'll be packing.
