What sort of foolishness would you like to see?-The end 9/27

According to Minnie,* Mordie is extremely excited for this trip. I am unsurprised and proud. No real news on the this trip front, but 1 month from today I'll be at MCO (going to that other place, but still).
*Minnie finally reached 100 posts on the DIS-only took her 7 years. Congrats to Minnie!:lmao:

Sorry I've been negligent..learning as much as I can about the other place has kept me busy. However, I did see Mickey and Minnie 2x this weekend, and Jack, Sally, Mordie and Ferdie once (DNiece13 had a show, and today we all went to a baseball game). They're booked at Pop for the first night, rather than the offsite hotel they were thinking of staying at, fun! :cool1: :cool1: It appears as if we're going to the MK the first day I'm there, then AK and DHS Saturday, then Sunday we're not sure. Apparently Mordie and Ferdie are still into autograph books, so I guess I know what I'll be getting them at the Earport next month (in case any of you are wondering where my loyalties lie-I ordered my Visa rewards card in case I see anything at the Earport :rotfl2: ). I've also agreed to try Dinosaur, provided Ferdie sits on the outside so he'll get eaten by the T-Rex.

Mickey and Minnie did some pre-trip shopping at LL Bean this week (are you noticing a pattern around here?). Due to my trip to the other place in Orlando, I've procured a second drying/sunscreened shirt, as well as a few cooling neck ties. I had a tie all set to test at the baseball game today, but it was too cool. I've also ordered a chamois and waterproof pouches from Amazon.

Yay for Pop!! Don't worry about Dinosaur - you'l be fine - as long as the T-Rex doesn't decide to eat two. :rotfl2:

No Epcot?

Minnie is checking TGM, so it depends upon his good/bad days.

:cool1: :cool1:
Mordie and Ferdie are out for the summer! They're now fourth and seventh graders. :faint: Mordie was at the Celtics' game loast night, so he's a bit tired, but they're off to lunch and the movies with MamaKat.

Took advantage of the sale at Disney Shopping yesterday. Got some pins for me (the HSM fourpack, and Giselle, and Cruella for me) and Mickey starter packs for the boys (their first hit is free. ;)). I may end up switching out the Mickey starter pins for the HSM kit, and keep the Mickey traders for myself, we shall see. I also think I like the pockets on the Mouse Explorer lanyards better than the lanyards on the starter kits, so I think I'll either eBay the lanyards or keep it for myself.
I was, however, very restrained and did not get myself any clothing. I was debating getting a Mickey t-shirt for Tusker House, but I decided I'll just wear my New York Mickey shirt (and probably stuff another shirt in my bag). I get the feeling I'll be pulling an AG Princess and doing this a lot this trip-for comfort. I was surprised they had no Jessie t-shirts, I was thinking that would be cute on DHS night. Also, they didn't have the Evil Queen t-shirt in an XL or XXL, and I wasn't thrilled by their Giselle or Ariel shirts*.
*Dear Disney-ever make a red headed princess shirt with Giselle or Ariel on it, and Hedy is so there. Capisce?

1. Pins arrived today. The starter sets looked so cute as a set I think I'm keeping them together.
2. Minnie is keeping the Pop reservation, despite AP rates coming out. Minnie also does not hang out on the PTR boards. Shall we wonder if there's a correlation? Does the PTR board lead to resort indecision?
3. Less than 2 months. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Sounds like you had some good buys, great control not buying too much though :thumbsup2

Tiggerbell just pointed out something important...
I am going to Disney World next month! (And I'll be in Orlando in 72 hours...holy cow!)

1. I'm really trying to convince myself that I don't need to take advantage of the personalization code to get the boys and I matching t-shirts for our night at DHS. I may see if they want to bring their HSM on stage shirts, if we do the HSM prop Photpass picture. Or (thought!) we could all get matching 50's themed shirts at Bye, Bye, Birdie in August (since I'd be buying them something anyway)! Ooh, I like that idea.
2. Orlando is still standing after I whirled in and out of the darkside last weekend. The darkside isn't all bad, really (I am feeling slightly guilty I never confessed to Mordie and Ferdie where I was going. Oh well :rotfl: :rotfl: ). I picked up two autograph books at the Earport for the boys, and about a zillion items I wanted to get for me (as opposed to the Darkside, where I bought 1 pen, mints for a friend, and a shirt for a friend). However, seeing how dead MCO is at midnight has me thinking I may go with DME incoming.
3. Every one of my danged Lands' End quick dry shirts are pilling. They're going back today.  I may get some more LL Bean ones (I really should see if they want to start sponsoring my family's WDW trips), as I'm returning a defective skort there. However, that may wait until Dmom gets her new LL Bean card. I've also heared Under Armor suggested, so I'm debating heading to the outlets this weekend.
4. My assimilation into the borg, I meam DIS, is complete. I now own a Bagalini..only took me two years. I like it a lot more than i thought I would-seeing it in meatspace convinced me to buy it.
5. 45 days, good grief. The summer's flying by-two weeks until we celebrate Mom's birthday in NYC, then Bye, Bye Birdie, then Ferdie's birthday and the SR Boston meet, then one weekend, then WDW!

Nooo! I've been planning for months on having the fried cheese appetizer at 50's. (so I could have room for dessert and a shake*). Now they have a darn sad crab cake. I guess it's the pepper with ratatouille or a boca burger for me.
*For the record, my eating habits aren't what they appear to be from my TR's. Seriously. Also, at the darkside I learned I tend to get so hot I don't eat, which triggers migraines. I'm hoping ADR's will help that. Also, I learned I need a lot more liquid than I thought I did (I was so dehydrated I didn't want my free wine! ) so I think I may suck it up and buy nasty Dasani, as lugging a zillion bottles of Poland Spring around doesn't thrill me.

Hi! Just found your report! I'll be at Pop 8/21-8/26 and I'm having b'fast at Tusker House that same morning!

So you went to the dark side huh? How was it? I think we might venture over there in a few years, just for a day or two.

Allyson :)

So you're a true DISer now you have a Bagalini, is it lime green too? :rotfl:

It was nice, actually. The pass you get if you stay onsite makes it very easy to do the parks in two days.

Nope, it's black-my misty mate is green, though. :teeth:

This weekend I got new moisture wicking shirts at LL Bean, as well as new fast drying shorts, a skort and capris (I need to learn to stay away from LL Bean's summer sale). Yay! I will now be a very quick drying, partially UV protected Hedy should the need occur.

Am still debating whether to use DME or not. The big kink in my plan is that I'm pretty confident I can't go just carryon only, as the 3oz CVS sunscreen was only enough for two days at a theme park. So my options are:
1. Check luggage, take DME, have bell services hold luggage.
2. Check luggage, take Towncar.
3. Carry-on, buy suncreen at parks (don't like this idea).
4. Carry-on, ship sunscreen down ahead of time.

I've also figured out how much I need to cashout for Sunshine Rewards, in terms of Disney gift cards vs. Paypal (as the Dolphin does not take Disney gift cards). Sidenote: did I mention I picked up some Disney Dollars at the Earport for Ferdie's birthday present? I'm very excited (there is a smart aleck response about me getting Ferdie disney dollars when they gave me Disney dollars for my birthday, but I'll leave that to the peanut gallery.

However, the real point of this post was that I looked at my desk calendar at work, and realized that the family is leaving ONE MONTH from today! I can't believe it. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :yay: :yay:

Do you have space available in your 1 quart bag for more than one 3 ounce sunscreen? Stuff as many 3 ounce sunscreen containers as you can into the bag? I bought a bunch of little 3 ounce bottles and filled up a couple with sunscreen when I went in April. I still checked luggage, but wanted to have sunscreen for my first day in the parks, before I received my luggage.

Or just bite the bullet and buy sunscreen when you get there?

Remind me why you don't want to use DME? Is it because it takes too long?

Or what about the rest of your family? Are they checking luggage? Have them take a bottle of sunscreen for you.

Yeah, only 1 3oz spray sunscreen fits in Mr. Quart bag-I've found I have the least amount of "missed spot" burn with the spray stuff. I'm thinking shipping may be my best option, as the family will be busy enough bringing their own stuff (plus i don't know if we'll be meeting at the MK or Pop or BCV the first day...).

Woohoo! My JetBlue flight had gone down $40 on Wednesday, but that fare was gone by when I got home from work. But it went down again this morning, so I now have a $40 credit on Jet blue. :cool1: :cool1: Which is less than I paid after my old credit, so double :cool1: :cool1:

That's good airfare MOJO which is hard to come by these days.:thumbsup2
