What sort of foolishness would you like to see?-The end 9/27

Flights from LAX to MCO have gone up by about 150-175 round trip and that doesn't even include baggage charges....

:scared1: :scared1:

So I (finally) canceled the end of my Pop reservation. Since my Dolphin reservation is kind of through DU (as I got the code off the DIS), I was irrationally worried that Bob Varley's passing would affect it, but I now freed up the dates at Pop.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

In other news, am trying to decide how much swag I need to bring with me-I'll have my SR button and water bottle holder, but think the SR/LGMH's would be a little much. There were no little green mickey key chains at the Earport, that's out (unless I a)go to Wod in NYC when I'm there next week (oh, please, like I won't:sad2: :sad2: ) or b)get one off eBay). Especially given how often my LGMH were teaching moments in December, I think in the interest of role-modelhood I should skip them

OMG OMG OMG! One month from today I will be climbing my cube walls at work, b/c once I'm done with work it's off to PVD!   I cannot believe it's only 1 month away! I've begun lurking on TPAS to find out such crucial bits of info as if we'll have a prayer of getting FP's for TSM if we get there around 4pmish on a Saturday (true confessions of an OCP-I nearly e-mailed Minnie to see if she knew when we'd be heading to DHS, because clearly she knows everyone's inner clocks for 1 month from now :sad2: :sad2: ).

In other news, according to my mother I have now proven there is a stupid question:
Me, on phone to Mordie on Saturday: Do you know where you'll be one month from today?
Mordie: (I could hear the   over the phone) Yes.....Disney.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Did i think he would be preoccupied with camp or something? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sounds like we won't be likely to get FP's for TSM. We'll live-I figure we can hit up ToT and RnR (provided Ferdie wants to do so), plus Muppet vision 3-D and Star Tours* (or we could always do the standby line). I am quite confident Minnie will get them on TSM earlier in the week ::yes::.

One month from today, I'll be at the MK (and we'll have dinner at Boma...mmm...Boma). :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I cashed out for my gift cards from SR yesterday.

I've also hearned that my fancy new phone (an EnV2) does not fit in my bagalinni strap. :( Oh well.

To do:
*Decide what to do about packing (I'm leaning towards packing the 3oz CVS sunscreen again, and buying more if need be).
*Take inventory of glowsticks (I have a package that has now gone to and from Orlando 2x). Decide if I need to get more and if I am bringing them.
*Contact Tiffany towncar and give them my updated schedule/locations.
*Decide if I'm having Disney ship my luggage from Pop to Dolphin, or if I will take a cab to get the luggage from pt A to pt B.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

*it says something about Auntie Heather that I've decided that Ferdie shoud get the "Aren't you a little short to be a Stormtrooper?" shirt. However, Ferdie rarely follows my suggestions for souvineers, so I'm sure he'll get something else.

Hi Hedy!! :wave2: I finally made my way over to the trip reports board to find your pre-trip. I figured that since, as the trip approaches, it's about all I think about, this was a good time to go find your report.

I've really enjoyed reading it! As for your sunscreen dilemma.... you should totally just send extra sunscreen down with your family, they don't mind (especially if it means you can then just travel carry-on).... seriously, pack a 3oz in your carry-on (in case you need it before we meet up) and give us the larger bottle and we'll bring it down.

Mordie recently told me he is interested in pin trading (he saw the Pin Trading Mickey DNeice had given me on one of our trips a while back and asked me about Pin Trading... after a quick pin trading primer, and a quick viewing of my collection... he was sold)... so, he will be very excited about the Mickey starter sets you got for them! I ordered a grab bags of pins on ebay myself (some to give the boys, and some to give to the adults) last month, so it sounds like they will be well on their way.

By the way, even though I haven't really pin traded in years, I might do a little myself this year since Mordie is interested... so, you had mentioned you weren't sure if you were going to bring pins... bring pins and trade away if you want to...

I'm looking forward to reading more! I can't believe the trip is less than a month away!

Everyone, welcome to Minnie herself! :welcome:

Thanks for the sunscreen-I'll bring it to Ferdie's birthday party, unless we see you before then. :dance3:

I'll be packing the pins I got on disney shopping, plus my other ones. I'm glad to hear Mordie has an interest in pins :). I actually have two extra lanyards (since I got Mordie and Ferdie the Mouseexplorer.com ones and then got the Mickey starter kits)-if you or anyone else want them.

One month and we'll be at AK.

I'll dance about 30 days!
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Glad the sunscreen problem worked out... isn't family great?

I'm back from NYC in one piece. I pin traded at WoD (I know have almost all the ticket hidden Mickey pins :cool1: :cool1: ). I also got a new tinkerbell fastpass holder-my old one broke at Universal :(. WoD in NYC is expensive-my fastpass holder was $4.95, it was $4 at WDW-but patience has never been one of Hedy's virtues. In vaguely Disney related news, Alfredo's in NYC still lists the WDW location on their window. Weird. My bagalinni worked fabulously. I was also really excited that the next time I pack up for the weekend, I'll be off to WDW.

I'll be giving Mordie and Ferdie their pre-WDW gifts on Sunday when we go to see Bye, Bye Birdie. They're each getting a lanyard with two trader pins, an autograph book, and a retractable sharpie (they were on sale at Walgreens in a three-pack yesterday).

I had a slight panic yesterday-I'd e-mailed Tiffany to verify my new flight times. They responded they pick me up at 4:00 for a 5:50 flight. :scared1: Fortously, I was able to change it to 3:30.

Three weeks from today I'll be waiting until I head off to PVD. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Had dinner with Mickey and Minnie last night. All parties are looking forward to the trip. WE may be going to Typhoon Lagoon rather than MK the first day-depends on the boys' preference. We also might be going to Epcot on Sunday, once again depending on the boys.

The big kink in my plan is that I'm pretty confident I can't go just carryon only, as the 3oz CVS sunscreen was only enough for two days at a theme park.
How about two 3oz CVS sunscreens?

I'm going to Disney World this month! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
And...three weeks from today, I'll be at either the MK or Typhoon lagoon! :cool1: :cool1:

I'll probably be back tonight with a list of stuff I'm looking forward to doing, plus you'll get a Bye, Bye Birdie/gift report later this weekend.

To do:
*Decide what to do about packing (I'm leaning towards packing the 3oz CVS sunscreen again, and buying more if need be)-done thanks to Minnie!
*Take inventory of glowsticks (I have a package that has now gone to and from Orlando 2x). Decide if I need to get more and if I am bringing them.-Sally said she got a bunch at BJ's for a weekend camping trip, so I think I'm bringing mine in case Mordie and Ferdie are interested.
*Contact Tiffany towncar and give them my updated schedule/locations.-done
*Decide if I'm having Disney ship my luggage from Pop to Dolphin, or if I will take a cab to get the luggage from pt A to pt B.-I'm leaning towards having them transferred.
*Get goggles and watershoes.

Things which I am looking forward to doing in WDW (in no particular order):
*Being with my nephews, their parents, and Mickey and Minnie in WDW.
*Having my special night in the park formerly know as MGM with the boys
*Eating at Tusker House
*Eating at Boma
*Staying at Pop for one night
*Staying at the Dolphin (I now will have stayed at all three WDW resort levels-and at 2 resorts whose current title does not begin with Port Orleans....)
*Getting a Dole Whip* for Bawb Varley (if we go to MK)
*Taking a towncar (there'll be a dude/dudette with a sign for me!)
*Riding Tot and RnR (if Ferdie wants to do so)
*Being able to walk to the parks from the Epcot resort area.
*Riding EE and Kilomanjaro
*Possibly going to TL**
*If we go to the MK, going on the three mountains with the boys
*If we go to Epcot-TT and Soarin', possibly getting myself some Laila perfume

*FWIW, Mickey made the Dole Whip mix I got him, he said it was easy to make and he liked it!
**As I was writing this, I got an e-mail from WDW suggesting I check out their waterparks, as the average temperature in August is 92.

Watershoes and goggles were procured today. Yay!

Gifts for the boys are set up. After much deliberation, I ended up giving them the Mouseexplorer lanyards (with a pre-emptive "M" and "F" on the back), as the fastpass holders on the Disneyshopping gift set were junky. So they're getting those lanyards with the Mickey starter pins. Plus autograph books, and Mordie is getting a blue sharpie, and Ferdie an orange one. :cool1: :cool1:

Ain't it great to make a list like this? So much better than chore lists, grocery lists, bills-to-pay lists....

Walking to Epcot from your resort would be very nice!

It is supposed to be 99 here tomorrow, so a waterpark sounds very inviting.
