What software do y'all use to create your digital scrapbooks? Is there a pretty simple one out there where I can import backgrounds and such? How about clipart and borders? I want something that is easy to use but that has a wide variety of backgrounds, clip-art, and borders.

I purchased Hallmark Scrapbook Studio a few years ago but havent played with it in awhile. I went to install it back onto my computer and it wont let me for some reason. So I am thinking about purchasing another one...

Thanks!

You will find that a regular graphics program will take you much farther then a scrapbook program. I use Paint Shop Pro X and the other popular choices are Adobe's Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. You can go to all of their websites for a free 30 day trial. There are other programs that people use, but these are the most popular, so you will be able to find the most tutorials for them. You can essentially use any graphics program that lets you work in layers.

Photoshop is $600+, Photoshop Elements is their program that has parts of Photoshop but is much less expensive, around $100. I found an amazing deal at Best Buy on my PSPX for under $40 with coupon and rebate, but I believe they have PSP XI now, so your results may vary.

There are good tutorials at many digital scrapping sites, doing a search at Google will give you lots of results. My favorites are www.scrapgirls.com and www.digitalscrapbookplace.com.

Since I got my new Macbook Pro (about six months now), I've been using Photoshop Elements 4.0. When I digital scrapped on my PC, I used Microsoft Digital Image Pro.
