Two "snack" related questions for you! I'm a health-nut, so I like to pack healthy as well as tasty!

1. How many of you pack snacks/meals for the airplane, what do you pack, and how do you pack them for convienece?

2. What snacks do you pack for the parks/resort time and how do you pack them for convienece?

We don't have any kiddos, but when I get hungry, I have to eat right then! I alwasy like to hear about new snacks and how people pack them...I never know what I might be missing! :)

Thanks!!! :sunny:

Pretzels, those new low fat 100 calorie Chips Ahoy chips, Oreo chips, celery and carrot srips, low fat Ritz crackers, apples, oranges, bananas.
Just put them in baggies.

I just bought a pack of individually wrapped snackwell cookies and fig newtons. I'll take some on the plane and in the parks. I also plan on bringing some fruit, probably apples.

Pack tortilla chips and a jar of salsa. We did that last year and it was delicious and whats healthier than salsa.

Our suggestions ....

Airplane - For adults (you said no children, correct) - pack in your carry on - pretzels, crackers, cookies, dried fruits, gum, lifesavers, and if you wish - PB&J & cracker or Cheese & cracker pre-packs (near the bread section in your grocery store). Get your water bottle or whatever drink on the plane.
Even SouthWest offers drinks. :cool1:

For WDW - :wizard:
1) do a free 20 min food stop with the purchase of towncar or limo
transportation from the airport. Buy water bottles, snacks, fruit (see below) & breakfast items if needed. Also buy 2 rolls of paper towels, plastic/paper bowls, plates and utensils.

2) From the Walt Disney Florist order .. www.disneyflorist.com :flower:
the Disney family treat bag and swap out the cheese for more fruit.
The cost is $52. I called the Disney Florist and they said they still do have it,
but it is not pictured on the web-site. It comes with a great sized large cavas tote bag with wood handles and Mickey picture on the sides. Nice bag to also bring home goodies. I highly recommend it. Inside the tote bag is also snacks and cookies. Keeps my famliy happy for 10 days.

If you are low carb dieting we always bring a mixture of nuts. They wont spoil like fruit will if you forget about them. We have also also from time to time brought cheese with beef sticks to much on.

For the parks we pack:

1) miniature bags of pretzels
2) peanut butter and cheese crackers
3) candy (not chocolate) but like sweettarts and spree
4) bubble gum
5) bread in sandwich bags - with miniature little canisters for peanut butter
*You dont want to make the peanut butter sandwich until you are ready to eat it, or else the bread gets really hard to work with and gets torn up.

With this set up we are able to snack and eat and be full all during the day, and save money during the day to spend on a nice evening on site or off site meal in the evening.

For DH I packed peanuts.

For both of us I had raisins, cheese crackers, and apples.

I also packed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for each of us for each day in the park. We always spend the entire day in the park and needed the extra boost from the sandwich.

Let's see, I second the raisins and apple. Banannas might get mushy in the park. Also, crackers get broken up (for us at least) in our backpack. We do the water thing as well. Personally, I also like the fruit snacks. Especially if they are disney character shapes, or fun kiddie characters. Makes me feel like a true kid at heart. This also gives a little boost of energy and curbs the hunger pains I experience while waiting in lines.

Trail mix: Nuts, Raisins, and a few M&M's! It's very totable and non-messy!
