what size unit do you normally stay in?

For now we are mostly staying in 1 bedrooms w/the occassional 2 bedroom and the VERY rare GV. When our kids get older, I suspect we will be in 2 bedrooms all the time though

We see ourselves booking a 2br the majority of the time, with an occasional 1br or Beach Cottage. Although it is just my wife and me, there are plenty that like to come along with us! We enjoy that part of DVC as well!

When it's just DH and me, we stay in studio. Most of our trips will be just the two of us. We stayed in a 1BR last spring when we took two grandchildren. They were young enough to sleep on the sofa bed without any problems. Will have to reserve 2BR though as they get older.

It's pretty impossible to answer this. When it's just DW and me we get a studio. When we take the grandkids we get a 1BR. And when we let their parents come along too we get a 2BR. So different trips mean different accomodations.

.But we have done the GV at OKW 2 times, and looking forward to The Beach Cottage at VB next summer.

P.S. Haven't tried the studio yet...........don't know if we ever will.

I have a question for those of you who have stayed in a grand villa. In particular, a BWV grand villa:

It is more points than two 2-bedroom villas. What is it about the grand villa that makes it so special?

I think the BWV GV is over priced.

The OKW GV is priced right and works very well for our prefered vacation. Another couple for the second bedroom and all the kids share the third bedroom. Crowded weekend in the middile and a different couple for the scond week.

Just me and DBF----studio for most of the time, but I want to add on points to upgrade to a one bedroom, or occasionally a two bedroom so I can take my parents.....after all Mom and Dad shared their Bermuda timeshare with me when they had it, it's the least I could do!

so, do studios really get booked up faster than 1-bdrms then? (i read that in a few other threads here)
it seems 1-bdrms would be the fastest to go based on this poll... hmmm...

I find this poll interesting because when I call for reservation, many times the ones that are available are for 1-bedrooms, not studio or 2-br, while the poll showed the 1-br is the most popular one.

Is it just people on this Board are leaning towards 1-br more than the majority DVC member?

We get a 2 BR for the four of us. With the boys being 11 & 13, it's nice that they can have their own room and not have to share a bed. I have grown to REALLY appreciate my 2 BR villa after spending 6 nights in a regular hotel room (at PBH) with all 4 of us just two weeks ago!

3 out of 4 DVC stays have been 1 bedroom.The 1 studio stay was Easter week, we had to stretch the points.
