For the past few years we have used our very nice artificial tree. It is about 7-8 feet high (can't remember for sure). This year we decided to get a real one and got a wonderful 10 ft tree. It is extremely full. We love it, but man oh man was it hard to get into the stand the right way.

We have a 6ft (narrow) tree in our bedroom and our DDs have 4ft trees in their rooms.

So what size tree does everyone else get?

We usually get one that is about 7' tall. Last year I got one that was taller and the angel we have wouldn't fit on top, oops. I have a lot of space to put the tree so we try to find a fat one too.

We bought a nine foot tree and we now have 8 foot ceilings-I posted a picture of our truncated tree on another thread, I think it's the 'who has their tree up already' one.

If I had to do it again, I think I'd still get it. Gives me incentive to find the next house...

Between 12 and 13 feet - we have cathedral ceilings, and absolutely can't resist putting up the largest tree we can find at the tree lots! Every year we say we are going to scale down to a more "normal" sized Christmas tree - but as soon as we see a gigantic one again, we end up lugging it home! We also have a 6' or so pine tree (real one) in the den each year, and a 6' artificial tree in the basement family room.

Also, we usually put up about 1500 lights in the trees and bushes outside of our house!

We got a 7 footer....perfect for us!

With DH working so much (12 hours, 7 days a week, 3 hours travel time a day) we opted for a 32 inch tree this year. Bought decorations for it and have it on a little table, that way no one had to dig out decoratioons or spend a couple hours shaping the tree

We always get real trees. At mom's we usually get about a 7 footer. At dad's we've had a variety of sizes, usually about 8 feet, but we had a 12 footer one year and loved it. He's got cathedral ceilings. He'll be on business this year for Christmas, otherwise we would have gotten a big one this year there.

since we're so busy planning for disney (two weeks from now) I just want my house clean for the holidays (decorations and trees would be nice but I don't have time to do it all)

We did get a 4ft decorative tree (ACMoore style) that I used last year.....
I will probably use that again and put it up high (on top of entertainment center) where our puppy (now 75lbs) can't knock it over.....

We have had 8-9 ft live trees in the past and they are a bear to get in the stand but nice to look at.... As we have gotten busier with stuff it gets harder to do the live tree....

We have a nine footer. The ceiling in the living room are 12 foot, so we could have gone taller, but the taller the wider, and we didn't want to use anymore floor space. We didn't really like the look of the narrow trees.

11 feet! Real and flocked....................

Ours is around 7 feet. Our ceiling is about 7'4". We always end up getting the absolute tallest tree that will fit in our apartment. I actually had to snip the very top of it off to keep it from rubbing on the ceiling.

No star on it this year, our star is ugly anyway!

Ours is 7-8 foot. It's real...either douglas or fraiser fir...never remember which!

We are vertically challanged here. We get live trees & make sure they are no taller than DH or I - meaning 5.5 - 6 ft. Our upstairs ceilings are 8 ft, downstairs only 7 ft. I have been looking at artifical trees but can't seem to find many under 9 ft. this year. :confused3

7' medium width (44") pre lit multi colored lights (500). Have had it about 5 years now. ::MickeyMo

7.5 feet tall with an angel at top! 1200 lights - very bright.
