What size coffee maker at SSR?

Hi everyone,

Last year we used instant coffee but thought this year we would use the coffee perk. Is this a full size like a 10 - 12 cup capacity? Also, do we bring the filters? If so, what type does it take?

What size unit are you staying in? I know the full kitchens have full sized coffee makers, but I don't remember if the studios have full size ones or smaller ones.

The coffemakers are pretty much the same for all the DVC resorts. The studios generally have the 4 cup size and the 1 bedroom & larger units have 12 cup size. If you want/need a larger size in the studio, just give housekeeping a call and request the larger size.

You do need to bring your own filters and coffee. The filters are the basket type (like Mr. Coffee).

We are new to DVC, but our studio at OKW in June had a 12 cup coffeemaker. Yes, you will need coffee filters; they use the standard size, not the cone shaped ones. For us, buying the non-cone kind was silly since we'd only use them at WDW so we opted to buy the Maxwell House Filter packs...one pre-packed filter makes 4 - 6 cups, so for the larger ones the package says to use 2 filter packs. If there are any left I stow them in a ziploc bag and bring them home.
