What shows do you watch?

Currently(in no particular order):
Supernatural
Criminal Minds
Haven
Fast and Loud
The Real World/Road Rules Challenge
I just started the Magicians and Shadow Hunters but those are too new to tell if I'll continue.

Way too many --

Downton Abbey
Nashville
The Middle
Modern Family
Big Bang Theory
Real Housewives of Orange County, New Jersey, NYC and Beverly Hills
Vanderpump Rules
Project Runway
Top Chef
House Hunters and HH International

I am retired and widowed, so the tv is on a lot for background noise. I am not always watching, but it's usually on.

Scifi/Fantasy stuff like The Shanara Chronicles,

How do you like the show so far and have you read both books it's based on? The first ep went a little too fast for me. But I'm starting to get into it. DH likes it, but he has also never read the books. I've been reading The Shannara series since the mid 1980's and am currently reading the last book in The Dark Legacy of Shannara trilogy.

I also have HGTV all day in the background while home with my youngest and always go to that channel or food network if nothing is on or I am between binge shows. I am a tv junkie, but also love to read, and read 1 book a week unless it is long.

I've read every book in the series up to and including Morgawr (I think that was the last one I read). I thought about reading the original trilogy again before the tv show started, but then thought better of it, because I figured it would be different and I didn't want to be annoyed at the tv series, since it's been so many years since I've read the books, I only remember main themes anyway, and I thought it'd make for less conflict. I am thinking of re-reading the entire series, plus the newer ones, maybe, after the show is over. Anyway, as to what I think so far, the sets, special effects, costume design, and production are great and I'm loving that. To me, I'm disappointed in some of the actors, specifically the ones that play Wil and Eretria, I just don't think they act very well. Haven't seen them in anything else to compare though. The girl who plays Amberle, is meh, but she is better than those two. I have always wanted these books to be made into movies since I read the first book back in the 80's. So, I was thrilled when it was announced that there would be a series. So far, I am liking it, just wish for stronger performances from those actors. Loving Manu Bennett as Allanon.

It kind of depends on what time of the year it is. From March to October, I'm hooked on Orioles and Rays baseball games, from September to late March, it's college basketball, particularly the University of Maryland. I'm ambivalent about football, but if I have nothing else planned, I'll watch the U of MD games, the Ravens, the Buccaneers, and if there's absolutely nothing else on, the Redskins.

As far as network and syndicated shows go, we watch Jeopardy, Downton Abby (and most anything else on PBS), Blue Bloods, the NCIS series, and I'm hooked on the original Law and Order series. I'm a history buff, so I watch the History Channel, the Travel Channel, and American Heroes Channel.

Hmmm, I think I watch too much TV!

Well, I thought we watched a lot of TV, but I guess we don't compared to a lot of people on here!
1. Colony
2. Child Genius
4. Dr. Phil

I'm a little embarrassed to admit, but:
3. Little Women: LA

We also watch news shows, such as Outnumbered, the Five, and America's News HQ on Fox News.

The Chronicles are based on two books - The Elfstones of Shannara and The Wishsong of Shannara. I'm currently reading Witch Wraith which is the last book in The Dark Legacy of Shannara trilogy. Reading it has re-ignited a spark in me to want to start reading the series over again. It's funny though, the actor who plays Allanon and the actor who plays Will, were both in The Arrow

Downton Abbey
Sherlock BBC when it's on
Call the Midwife
Doc Martin
Life in Pieces
Modern Family
Bachelor
Narcos on Netflix
The Good Wife

Big Bang Theory
The Middle
The Goldbergs
Blood & Oil (probably cancelled)
Suits
Pawn Stars
American Pickers
Survivor
Several hunting & car/truck shows
Lots of sports (football, baseball, hockey, NASCAR)

Castle - first run on ABC and repeats on TNT
Blue Bloods
Big Bang Theory

true crime stories - 48 Hours, etc. I get sucked in to those all the time. I'm usually good at figuring out who the bad guy/girls are

House, MD repeats
Law & Order repeats - the original show

Diners, Drive Ins and Dives
Worst Cooks in America
Next Food Network Star
Barefoot Contessa
The Kitchen

baseball - mostly the New York Mets, the 2015 National League Champs!

I thought it was just going to be based on The Elfstones of Shannara. I think I only watched the first season of The Arrow. The lead character is
Oliver something? I got lost in the second season, and dropped out.

We dropped Cable last year, but do have Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu. We also subscribe to HBO Now during Game of Thrones.

So, shows we will binge when we can get them:
Outlander
GoT
Jessica Jones
Mozart in the Jungle
Master of None

Shows we Tivo and watch almost live, skipping the commercials:
DWTS
Big Bang
Limitless
iZombie
How to Get Away with Murder
American Crime

There are others, but they tend to wait until we're in the mood. And I like too many reality shows still, like Survivor, Amazing Race, Bachelor, and I've started watching AI again for the last season.

I dont watch a lot..
I used to think it's because I'm busy with my kids sports/school stuff-but I've realized I'm not so busy I can't watch TV. LOL
It's a cross between spending waaaaay too much time online, and the fact that my husband and son watch sports ALL the time on my living room TV. I like watching TV in there best, so Im too lazy to go use another TV.

I watch nothing on TV at the regularly scheduled time, but these are what I record and catch up on:
The Middle
Modern Family
blackish
RHOBH
Who Do You Think You Are
Dateline
Downton Abbey
Scandal
Lip Sync Battle
Jimmy Fallon

I have shows from November from the first 3.
Embarrassingly, RHOBH is the one I'm always all caught up on. It's on tuesday nights, and I come home for lunch on Wednesdays, so I eat lunch and watch it each Wed. Love it. Lol
I haven't started watching Downton or Scandal this season, but will catch up.

Dateline I looooove, usually I have 2-3 weeks worth on my DVR, but I watch that fairly regularly.

I want to watch Quantico. Need to find the episodes for free somewhere.

Lip Sync Battle we watch as a family. Fallon, we record every episode and watch whenever, sometimes we just delete it off, but always there in case we want to watch.

ETA:OUTLANDER! My favorite. Record and watch within a couple days.

Code Black
Mercy Street
Modern Family
The Middle
Life in Pieces
The Goldbergs
Fresh off the boat
Survivor
Top chef
Still missing Mad Men though

And my new favorite - Teachers!
How's Mercy Street? I forgot I started to record that as well, looked good.

Also, I watched 3 episodes of The Grinder online today and I'll add that in, I liked it.
