What should I do

I currently have a 7 day hoppers package for Dec 1 to 7. We fly in to MCO at 2 PM and there is a MVMCP that night. If we choose to do that night obviously no need to have a regular park ticket for that day, but I dont want to buy party tickets for that date until we land just in case of delays. Perhaps it will sell out prior to day of then i dont need to worry though. If that date falls through we have 3 other choices while there.

Should i modify my tickets now and downgrade to 6 days and save 25 bucks on them and then if we dont get party tickets go into another park arrival day and go to guest services and add back the 7th day?

Yes, that sounds like a good plan.

I could be wrong, but I thought you could only upgrade tickets, not downgrade.

If you are uncertain whether you will use the seventh day, I would drop the seventh day. You can always add it back at the parks if you decide you want the added day.

I went to the website before posting and hit modify, then tickets and the lesser days were not grayed out. I didnt finish past there to see if it would actually take however so you could be right.

You can drop days on your package since you are far enough out.

The only thing is that it would be handy to be able to schedule FP for arrival day if you decide to go to a park instead of MVMCP that night.

That is one thing along with ADRs for the other party days which has me hedging. I would prefer to have my schedule set at 180+7 so we can get rezzies but that wouldnt work if we had 2 days up in the air, arrival day and backup party day. I suppose i could get a backup ADR for backup party day if we do party on arrival, but i find getting rezzies just in in case is dubious.
