What Should I Cancel?

We have one too many ADRs planned. We are on the dining plan and we were going to pay oop for one of them but now DH says he doesn't want to pay anything extra. So- I've boiled it down to 2 choices. We need to cancel either Hollywood and Vine for lunch or Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner. We have eaten at H&V before and our DD4 loves the character interaction there. We have never been to WCC and I'd love to try something different.
So- with a 4 year old, which reservation would you keep? :confused3

My vote would be to keep Whispering Canyon and cancel Hollywood and Vine since you have been there before.

What are the other ADR's you have? I would still try to convince DH to keep all and just pay for your least expensive meal OOP. Breakfasts and ala carte lunches tend to be the least expensive meals. Maybe go to allears.net and check out the menus and show him the prices. I'm sure with a little evidence and some pouting, he may give in (at least it couldn't hurt). :littleangel:

If he won't budge, given the 2 choices you gave, I would say dump H&V and keep WCC. I am also the type that would rather try new things then keep repeating the same things over and over again.

I would keep all of them since we always seem to drop a couple of ADR's while we're there - we're not hungry, someone isn't feeling well, or we simply decide we've done a park to death and don't need to return there, even though we have an ADR.

Unless you've reserved your ADR with a credit card, there is absolutely no penalty for a no-show. As a courtesy to others, we always cancel our ADR's as soon as we know we're not going to use them, but it isn't even really necessary to do so. Disney books a certain # of no-shows into their ADR system.

IMO I would also cancel Hollywood & Vine. Everytime I have gone to WDW and eaten on the dining plan I have had no problem skipping lunch. Especially if I had a big breakfast. Also, Whispering Canyon has awesome food and great service. Very entertaining. I have 5 friends that work there and I have eaten there a few times. You'll enjoy it. :cheer2:

We also have Akershus (b), Crystal Palace (d), Boma (d), CRT (b), 1900 Park Fare (b) and 'Ohana (d). I've tried the pouting lol, didn't work. 1900 Park Fare would be our cheapest meal but he's not budging :sad2: I don't really want to cancel any so I'll keep working on changing his mind.

Honestly, you have a lot of character meals already, I would definitely skip H&V. Esp since you have never been to WCC before. It will give you a break from all the character meals. You dont want character meal overload. :upsidedow I think the antics at WCC will entertain your 4 yr old nicely.

Whispering Canyon is more popular but I would keep Hollywood and Vine. The characters are different than other places and the dancing and character interaction there is perfect for age 4. WCC not so exciting for that age. You have 3 princess meals if your 1900 PF is dinner. Id rethink one of those if you don't want to skip WCC.
