OK This message is for all the people already living, doing the college program... WHAT ARE THE THINGS YOU WISH YOU BROUGHT?
What did you bring?
What sizes are the beds?
WHAT SHOULD I BRING! LOLOLOL!!! Hit me back ASAP, i gotta go shoppin with mama!

Direct from the college program website. (there is lots of info on there to read though if you have not done so already. Just log in the same way you did when you accepted your offer)

Some of these are more suggestions then things that you NEED. And remember, there are stores near by (publix, wal-mart) if you do not wish to carry it all with you down.

While many amenities are supplied for you, you may want to bring additional items for recreation, decoration or everyday necessity. The following are recommended:

* Set of linens and bedding (twin-size sheets, pillow, blanket, towels, etc.)
* TV, VCR, DVD player and a coaxial cable
* Stereo (small)
* Phone card
* Answering machine
* Cordless phone (The phone provided in the apartment has a cord.)
* Cell phone (Check with your current provider for coverage information.)
* Alarm clock
* Beach towel, suntan lotion and/or sunscreen
* Camera and film
* Casual clothing
* Professional clothing (Please refer to the Disney Look Guidelines for assistance.)
* Sweater or jacket
* Dress shoes
* Combination lock for the locker in your bedroom
* Computer with Ethernet card
* Small computer desk or stand and a lamp
* Original employment eligibility documents
* Cosmetics and toiletries
* Credit card and traveler’s checks (if available)
* Health insurance information
* Personal medications, including prescription drugs, if needed
* Writing paper, envelopes and pens

I also would like to suggest some cool weather clothing for near the end of Dec/begining of Jan. While Florida does not seem like it would get cold.... after you some what get used to the warmth.... 40 degrees feels very cold when it comes..... at the end of my program last year, there were a couple of nights where I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a light zip up jacket at night outside and was still cold.

Well, just think of it as going on vacation for 3-7 months. Mainly, bring money. They don't pay worth crap. I think I remember them saying bring like $200-500 or so, but I brought 2K with me. I went through over half of it. I was lucky and got a position where I only worked 5 days a week no matter what, and no mornings. I think my average pay check was like $120 or so. That barely covered my gas and insurance monthly, so I was living off my own money. Anyway, besides money, bring a car!!! They are correct its not 100% needed, but I know CPs who leave 90 minutes before their shift because they have to ride a bus, when in drive time, a car would get them there in 15 minutes TOPS. Plus, bringing a car gives you a lot of room to bring down all the other items. On the other side, riding the bus does give you time to mingle with the opposite sex though. The program goes by SO fast, be sure to bring a digital camera. I would bring a computer as well as TV also. Oh, and a TV. Other than that, its all small stupid things that your family can ship later.

Hey all, I'm going down for the CP on August 2nd and I'm starting to plan everything I'm bringing with me, and I have one question. I currently have a desktop computer, do you think that it would be alright to bring down so long as I get a small desk for it? Thanks!

yes, they suggest that if you are bringing a desktop that you bring a small desk for it as there wont be one provided.

Depending on your apt size, some do have a small built in desk area. If not, you can easily grab a cheap desk at walmart or so.
