What Should I Ask For at BCV?

I'm getting ready to try & reserve a 2 BR at BCV. Can anyone advise me as to what area to request? I like being at least 3 or 4 floors up, and am looking for a pleasant view. Thanks.

No one knows for sure what the "view" will be, but from pix others have posted I would gyuess that there are not very many unobstructed Epcot views...lots of trees in the pix I have seen. Plus, the building is only 4 stories high, I think and the side of the building that faces Epcot also is very near a road, which may be very noisy. Since it isn't open yet, we really don't know.

The other side of the building faces Dunes Cove, which is BCVs "quiet pool" and we haven't seen pix of that side yet.

So take your best shot, but don't be surprised if you get the Epcot side and the view isn't exactly what is in the brochure about it.,

I asked MS what views were available at BCV. I was told Epcot, pool and woods...and there are not many Epcot views. I was also told that there has been extensive landscaping to hide the nearby roadway and the backstage areas of Epcot. (Both sides of the road have had added landscaping.)

Last week, I had the opportunity to do a little "investigation" around the resort. While all of the doors were secure, it was possible to take a stroll around the exterior.

The rooms are furnished and finishing touches are underway inside the public areas at the resort. It looks great.

It was difficult to tell views from the outside at ground level, but my impression is that the parking lot side of the resort, will primarily have a view of the pool area. The parking lot may be visible, but not the main vista.

The woods view will look at Epcot towards the Int'l Gateway and Illuminations area and should offer a good view of the fireworks during the show- much like what is visible from BWV, except a little closer.

The Epcot view rooms (very few) will have a glimpse of Spaceship Earth and the Imagination buildings.

The roadway is mostly travelled by WDW buses and is pretty well hidden by landscaping. There is a little road sound, but won't likely be an issue from inside any of the rooms.

I'm looking forward to our stay there in Sep. Hopefully we'll get some first hand reports in the next few weeks!

Stay Tuned!

Doc. Are you saying that in your opinion if you asked for an Epcot view you won't be able to see Illuminations fireworks? I asked for an Epcot view in hopes of seeing the fireworks.

doc, thanks for the investigation report - as many others on the board, we're anxious for those first "first hand" reports. We'll be arriving in Oct. 02. Counting those days!!

Based on what I was told by MS and witnessed myself, I'm guessing that the Epcot view they are referring to won't have much of a look at the Illuminations area (but will offer a great look at SE and HISTA) . I would hate to dissuade anyone from requesting Epcot view based on my guess however and I have requested Epcot view for our stay in Sep.

MS told me that there are very few Epcot views- but what I found is that there are LOTS of woods/Illumination view rooms- which is what I'm basing my comments on. Hopefully we'll get factual firsthand reports from the resort in a few weeks!
