What shoes are Best for the Wedding day?

It was his idea and he picked them out. I wear them all the time now and it makes me think about our day.

I wore blue flip-flops. They served two purposes... SOMETHING BLUE-- and Comfort! I brought another pair of shoes just in case I were to change my mind, and I didnt. The only bad thing was that I had my toe-nails painted before our trip- and chipped one so I had to go downstairs to the merchantile and get alchohol pads to clean off all the toe-nail polish the night before the wedding. I ended up going polish-less.. but that worked out great anyway.

That was a great idea! Love that you incorporated blue.
Great pics! The natural look turned out great!

I will be wearing some sort of sandal or flip-flop. I want to be comfortable on my wedding day. My DF and everyone else will be as well if they want to. I don't have to worry about the height issue. If I wanted to be the same height as him I would need to stand on a chair:rotfl2: . He is 1 foot and 5 inches taller than me. I am 5'2".

I wore "real" shoes for the ceremony, and then immediately changed into white platform flip-flops with little sequins on them. They only cost me $15, and they were quite possibly the best money I spent on the wedding. :rotfl: I had so much more freedom to move around and dance at the reception - without my feet killing me! :)

I wore one inch heels (shoes that I loved!), and I had planned to change into my vans with pink skulls on them :cutie: ...but I never found the time to change into them! I was way too busy talking with my guests, and my feet really ached at the end of the evening!

I am wearing a pair of Skechers flats that look like Mary Janes. They are really comfortable and I think I'll get use out of them past the big day. Plus I am only 1" shorter than DF so no heels for me! (I never wear them anyway, too uncomfortable!)

I was going to suggest these! I'm wearing mine right now for work. They are called "Bikers" and are available online and I've seen them at Famous Footwear, Mervyns and Kohls stores. They have plain white, and an ivory color with little flowers on it.

If you are wearing a full length dress it is very likely your shoes will never be seen, so be comfortable. I had a pair of Easy Spirit pumps with an 1 1/2" heel and was able to wear them all day with no issues. If I was going to do it again (or for a vow renewal some day) I'll do the Skechers!

I am planning to wear white ballet shoes.... My df is 2 inches taller than me and I dont want to be taller than him at the wedding... I thought ballet slippers will do the trick and they are comfy too...
