What sandals would you bring to the parks?

I'm looking for a good pair of waterproof sandals that are comfortable. I'm sure I'll wear my Nike running shoes most of the time but I'd like a pair to slip on and perhaps wear a couple of hours or on the wet rides. I've checked out Teva and Born and even Crocs :scared1: had a thong sandal that looked cute. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Since you mentioned it I suggest crocs! I have like a dozen different pair of different styles more than half of them being sandals. If you look there are many different styles of sandles including a new cute sandal.

i don't recommend thongs- too much rubbing potential. crocs are a love'em, hate'em shoe. you have to try them out and wear them for a while to know if they're for you.

lands' end has a bunch of choices for comfy and getting wet. Teva's are definitely popular too! (but pricey). you definitely want something that will dry quickly!

In the past, I've always brought a few pairs of flip flops from Old Navy. They come in about a million different colors and are only $2.50 a pair. They have a good sole on them, to, so wearing them for an hour or two in the parks for water rides doesn't wear your feet out. I wouldn't suggest wearing them all day, though. I made this rookie mistake for my first trip and had prickely-feelings in my feet for almost the entire trip!

But for water rides or running around hotels, pools, or water parks, they'e the best. (for Airport travel too, and driving!)

YES!! These are the BEST flip flops!! I bought black one and some cool one for my DS5. I am a 24/7 flip flop chick and I plan on wearing them to the parks. My feet are troopers!!

I have the Crocs flip flops and every time I wear them, they blister my feet. I also recommend these too:

They are amazingly comfortable!!!

I second that. I swear by Old Navy flip flops. They dry pretty quickly too. Just watch out for minor rubbing when they are wet. It happens sometimes. But then again, it would happen with any wet shoe. Old Navy flip flops are also small, they they are really easy to throw in a bag to carry with you for the wet rides.

I swear by my Keen sandals! They are waterproof (even machine washable) and have wonderful support. The only down side is they don't dry as quickly as some others and are a little spendy (but well worth the money).

Good luck!

Just started another post about Keen Sarasota sandals, but will stick another mention in here. These are the sandlas I'm considering for our trip in May...wanting to find out if anyone has actually wore them in the parks for an extended amount of time and how they performed.

DH has the Keen Sarasota and loves them. He is very shoe "picky". He wore them everyday, all day long on our Disney trip last year. They have also held up great. Still look & feel like new. They will be his shoe of choice when we go back in 10 days!!!!:yay:

Whatever is most comfortable for YOU! I still get blisters spending the day in the parks in my oldest, most broken in shoes! :headache:

I wouldnt wear anything but sneakers to do all that walking. I bought a new pair for my most recent trip to wdw.

I think that's probably a good idea, but maybe only for half of the year. DH is a teacher, so we only go in the summer. I would pass out after ten minutes if I had sneakers on - I just get too hot too quick. It's sandals ALL THE WAY for me!

I was going to wear Teva Mush Flip Flops and bought a pair to begin breaking in. I've quickly found out they don't have enough support for my feet so while they'll work going to the pool, I'll have to come up with something different for the parks.

Guess I'll be looking at Teva Hurricanes again.

I can't wear flip flops. That between the toe piece always rubs the top of my foot just up from where the toe piece is. Last year from spring to early fall I lived in my Mary Jane Crocs. I wore them to the zoo and other all day outings and my feet and legs felt fine at the end of the day. On the rare ocassion that I wore my gym shoes my feet and legs were sore by the end of the day. I plan on getting another pair of Crocs for our DW trip. Both my DD's love them too. And just think of all the disney Jibitz you can put in them :thumbsup2 I think my DD's have every princess Jibitz made. We need some mickey ones though.

Has anyone tried the adidas ayuna flip flops? I tried them on at the store and although they are not the cutest thing, they have this fitFOAM and feel like the most comfortable thing ever.

I have a pair of Born sandals that I'm thinking about bringing. The only thing, is that they are more platform like sandals. Really cute but I'm not sure about the comfort thing. I'd like to wear both my Nike running shoes and my Borns (obviously not at the same time), but switch off. Maybe during the day wear the running shoes, sandals at night.
