What "Rumor" is most likely to become a "Reality"?

I guess it's a colloquial phrase used here, not necessarily everywhere. Basically speaking out of your *** with no factual knowledge or evidence with which to corroborate your words.
I know exactly what you mean, and while I don't think its funny I do find it rude. I'm the person who was corrected (or an attempt was made anyway) after posting on the RUMORS board about a RUMOR that I heard, and I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to do so or I would be "speaking out of turn". Last time I checked, a rumor wasn't defined as "factual knowledge or evidence." And I certainly don't appreciate being told that I was "speaking out of my ***"

Wow. This board should come with a warning. Not Disneylike at all :(

so....a rumor? ;)

If you want to "put people in their place" for talking about things that have no evidence, maybe the "Rumors and News" boards aren't for you.:thumbsup2

I have NO idea why y'all are jumping me! I didn't jump on any one or attempt to put any one in their place. I just stated a basic facet of human psychology. Some people just can't help themselves. They probably do it in their real lives as well.

I wasn't talking to or about you or the "rumor" you shared. I answered another poster's query regarding my colloquial phrase. My original post was with regard to another previous poster calling the DVC "guide" (salesman) "cute, but dumb" in that he would not be privy to major plans within TWDC. That individual is to whom I was referring with regard to not being able to resist putting another person in their place.

I hope that clears up any confusion on any one's part regarding my posts.

I've seen a lot of that attitude on here, it seems to be that some people forget what type of forum this is, a rumor and discussion forum. The person you are referring to does not like people to discuss rumors at all, if the rumor doesn't come from him then there is no way in the world it could be true. This board has a few people like that, heck I've even been told opinions are only for things like songs and colors. I haven't been here long, but I'm slowly starting to figure out who the nice people are, and who the not so nice people are.

I would love to see a star wars land in HS. My favorite rumor though would be the villian themed park with more thrill rides. I think that it would be a great park if done right.

Any type of expansion to HS would be a safe bet, I believe. Star Wars fits perfect there and with the investment in the film franchise and the releases of new movies in the next 5-7 years, I think a Star Wars Land would be very popular in the future plans. I also would expectMarvel to somehow be worked into Disney Springs... whether it's a retail store or a character/themed meal... something. Again with all the releases coming out in the next 5-7 years, this is also bound to be a huge money maker. They can't be included in the parks but they can use it in Disney Springs.

I'm thinking Disney isn't doing much with Marvel because of the Marvel Superhero Island over at Islands of Adventure. Of course, they could always create some hostile competition by building Marvel attractions/areas anyways, but -and this is just a guess- I think they've been keeping an eye on how the Marvel area is performing over at IoA to determine whether it's worth it. The best way to enter a market is to observe the current conditions, and I'm guessing it doesn't look like a profitable investment for them. For instance, if Disney somehow acquired the rights to Harry Potter, you can bet they'd have some sort of HP attractions up sooner than you could say "wingardium leviosa" because of how profitable it is over at IoA. If Disney actually thought adding Marvel attractions would somehow be profitable for them, it would already be in the works.

Since this is the rumor board, take what you read with a grain of salt...

Having been on the house hunt in Florida, we have learned a few things in our travels in dealing with realtors and builders. My concern/enlightenment is when more than one of each, representing different areas come out with the same story.

While we all love Disney, we don't want to be in the tourist trap area or have to deal with the congestion that is brought on by the parks. However, if we listen to some of what we've been told, it would appear that teens and grown ups will have a park just up their ally. Disney has plans for a "villians theme park" that will be located closer to toll road 429. With the villians being the main draw in this park, the rides we were told will still have some kiddie style rides, but an agressive push will be made for more faster/extreme rides.

Again, take it with a grain of salt, but hey if it does happen, we're there!
