What room at GF?

Going to GF for first time 11/30 for 5 nights. Our DD turns 5 on 12/1. This to be a Magical Birthday for her. Getting AP's for our trip next month. I want to book the Dec. trip now to assure a room hoping codes come out for that time. I just read where WL filling up for 12/3 so I worry GF will do same. What room do I request. Can only afford a garden view looking at rack rates. but Lagoon views sound better. Please help. I would love for her to have a view of MK so I know I'll have to go Lagoon. Also have DD2 & DS8 with us for 5. Probably be our last Disney trip for few years so what it to be great! My dream has always been to stay at GF.

If you book a lagoon view room, tell the cast member WHEN YOU MAKE THE RESERVATION you'd like a view of the castle. Some lagoon view rooms at the GF face the wedding pavillion and the Polynesian, but not the castle.

The buildings that have castle views are Conch Key, Sago Cay and Boca Chica. I've heard the views from Conch are really good. We've stayed in Sago Cay and our castle view was good, too. I think I also remember reading that Boca Chica lagoon views are of the castle, the Contemporary and the Polynesian - like a panormic view of the whole MK area.

But if I were you I'd book now and hope for AP rates...but book the view you really want because it might not be possible to upgrade later.

GF is already booked up on Nov. 26 & 27 for everything except LV and tower rooms. I would call ASAP. Dec. 2-5 was also getting full due to Floridians who just come for the weekend to see the decorations.

Thanks for the info I did call today. Ended up at WL with AAA discount for that time. Can't see paying that much more for GF. Kids will love WL One day I'll stay at GF.
