I know my favorites (Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Test Track) and also know rides that you won't get me on such as
  • Tea Cups - Weak Stomach for Spinning
  • Astro Orbitor - Weak Stomach
  • Mission Space- Weak Stomach
  • Star Tours - Weak Stomach
  • Terror of Terror - Weak Stomach (everything except the actual drop looks really cool)
  • Rock N Roll Roller Coaster - Don' t like Update Down Rides
  • Splash Mountain - Scared of big drop, but I could be convinced for this one (DS favorite!)

Guess most of the rides in my list are for the same reason.

What rides will you not ride and why?

Mission Space - claustrophobia
Sum of all Thrills - claustrophobia
Teacups - :crazy2:

x 2:lmao:
I rode the Teacups last August (because DD talked me into it - she didn't want to ride alone). That was a mistake! What made me think I could ride it :confused3 I did not feel well for the rest of the afternoon.

Ellen's energy adventure - long, dull and too nice to big oil companies

Kali river rapids - too short and boring to justify being that wet and uncomfortable after

Country Bears - if there was ever an attraction that needed an update....

captain EO - no explanation needed

I don't have a problem with motion sickness or anything. Ive never tried stitch.

Space Mountain, rode it with my sisters (we are all in our mid 50's to early 60's). We all love roller coasters but when we got off we all complained about our necks hurting and had slight headaches. I guess it's because it's in the dark so you can't prepare for the sudden turns and drops.

The Tea Cups, can't do spinning rides anymore. :crazy2:

Other than that, I love all the other rides.

Mission:Space cause I just don't like if. The welcome video is longer than the ride.

Stitch. Can we even call that a ride?

Tower of Terror. I don't think feeling like I'm falling to my death is fun:-(

Space Mountain - REALLY hurts my back.

Star Tours - I like ST, but I won't ride if I've eaten recently. It's the only ride I've ever gotten nauseous on (and the nausea lasted for longer than an hour).

Also claustrophobic.. actually I'm not sure if that's what it is.. the fear is actually a fear of being trapped. So ride restraints make me really uncomfortable sometimes. I just muddle through and once the ride starts I'm fine.
Mission Space and Sum of All Thrills are an absolute "NO".
The rest are fine usually ,though I did change my mind at the last minute once on Star Tours of all things because I was feeling anxious. It's completely irrational and it sucks but I can't shake it. It only started a few years ago.

I will not ride most for the same reason except occasionally I will ride ToT and I love Splash Mountain. Add to the list 7DMT (motion sickness). I am just afraid of getting sick. I miss a lot but if you suffer from it then you know what I mean. It can ruin your whole day. I have taken motion sickness medicine before and it doesn't work. I used to be able to ride a lot of roller coasters but I found as I got older something changed. Oh well. We are riding Pooh while they do the mine train.

This is my exact issue with Claustrophobia.....the fear of being trapped. :scared1: I'm not bothered in big crowds, because I know I have the power to barrel through the crowds if necessary, but the restraints? Yikes!!! Mission Space did this to me a few years back. I never had an issue until riding MS.

And mine all started with a vicious panic attack on Splash Mountain!! The lap bar was down too far and I was wedged in when the ride broke down. It didn't matter that I could see the exit, had plenty of air and knew rationally that we'd be up and running shortly.. I had a panic attack. I just remember thinking "I wonder if I could get out of here if I had to..." and off I went.:crazy2: I had to do plenty of deep breathing and was in tears when we got off the ride. I probably looked like a lunatic and I had no idea why it happened as it had never happened before.

Well, I totally get it. I also had a panic attack on the Little Mermaid ride. My 6year old daughter leaned forward on the bar just as the ride started and the bar went down and locked on my lap. I have no idea how I made it through those 2 or 3 agonizing minutes. I know it must seem ridiculous and irrational to most people.

I'll ride almost everything at Disney except the two rides that made me sick the last time I rode them - the intense version of Mission Space (I'll still ride the safe version) and Expedition Everest.

I think you are the first person who gets it!!! I keep an ativan in my purse for just such occasions. I have never once had to use it but it takes the fear down a hundred notches. I'm sure you are also well versed in putting your hands in your lap so the bar doesn't go down too far when a CM pushes on it.;)

:lmao: :rotfl2: I couldn't have said it any better. Too funny. I agree with these, for the same reasons.

I will also add...
Star tours & Tea Cups - makes me nauseous

For my Mom, it's Dumbo. She waited almost two hours once when I was three and said "never again!" :rotfl: As for me....

Astro Orbiter -- afraid of heights :faint:
Winnie the Pooh -- too jerky
Hall of Presidents -- my favorite nap show is the Tiki Room
Tea Cups -- I can ride the built-to-hurl at the local amusement park
Mission: Space Orange -- churns my stomach, give me Green!
Ellen's Energy Adventure -- too long; won't ride (tl;wr)
Dinoland U.S.A. -- DINOSAUR! doesn't interest me; for the other two see Tea Cups

Oh yeah....nobody is going to push that bar down on me. My kids now know they are not to touch the lap bar if they ride with me. And I already packed my Ativan (which, like ÿou, I've never used) for my December trip. :hyper:
