What rides can you take a 10 month old on?

We will be going to Disney in Oct with our new son, who will be about 10 months old at the time. We go every year, but this will be a whole new experience for us with a little one. I was just wondering what rides I could actually take him on and hold him. I think I had assumed I could hold him on more rides that I actually can - I went to the official site to look for restrictions, and even most of the "preschooler" rides say at the bottom that riders with very young children can talk to a CM and takes turns to experience the attraction...can I take him on things like IASW, HM, and other slow moving rides?? What can he can go on?? Me and DH are going with my DM and DB, so it will be no big deal to take turns riding things we can't take him on. Thanks in advance for any help or recommendations.

I would think any of the "scenic" rides that don't have seat belts would be OK for you to take a baby on - Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Pirates, Small World, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, TTA - as long as you think your baby would not be scared by dark enclosed places and some loud noises. I've never been with a baby that small, that is just a guess!

My daughter went on Pirates of the caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Its a Small world, the carousel, dumbo, flying carpets when she was 5 months and 13 months.

Progressed to Goofys Barnstormer and Woodwoodpecker at 23 months.

All those mentioned would be fine, include TTA, Train, Jungle Cruise and Flying Carpets at MK.

Epcot - Spaceship Earth, Figment, ride in Mexico, Land.

MGM - Mostly shows

AK - Triceratops spin, Safari ride (a little bumpy, hang on!), train to Rafiki's PW

That's all I can think of off hand. So much for a little one to see! Might want to bring a hat that will cover his ears (like a winter hat - I know it sounds stupid), but that will muffle some of the noise. Some attractions are very loud.

We would have taken him on IASW, but I boycott that one

Haunted Mansion (yes, it's dark but he didn't care. And too young to be scared)

At MGM - various shows

Epcot:
Imagination
The Land
Circle of Life
Mexico water ride

Animal Kingdom:
Kilimanjaro Safari (had to hold on to him, but he loved it)
Triceratops Spin
Train to Rafiki's planet watch

You'll be surprised at just how much you can do with a little one...the parades are great! Our DS loved the colors and music.

At 4 months, we took DD pretty much on any ride that didn't have a height requirement. We didn't take her to shows that were really loud (Phillharmagic- she hung out with my dad, I also remember leaving about 2 minutes into Indiana Jones).

At 14 months, she was much, much more sensitive to the rides in the dark. We took her on POTC the first day and that was a mistake. On our second day, she didn't like the dark parks of "Living With the Land" at Epcot. I think if we had held off a couple of days with those rides, she would have been fine. We underestimated how "weird" WDW must have been for her the first day or two. She LOVED all of the outside rides (Dumbo, Aladdin, Jungle Cruise, Triceratops Spins).

A note about the Safari ride...it can get pretty bumpy, but you can ask to sit in the front (the least bumpy place).

We took our 6 month old on everything that there was no heigth requirment with no issues. Good luck!

That sums it up well.
It also depends on the child and his/her mood. I have 3 girls under 5 and we have taken about 8 trips over the last 3 years. The only rides we couldn't do were the height restriction rides and shows like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, because they would be bored. You will be surprised at how much you can do with a wee tyke. And for me, all of those kiddie rides are 100 times better when you take a little one with you!

Thanks so much everyone!! That is really more rides that I thought!! I was worried he couldn't do POTC because of the small drop, but sounds like everyone has taken their little ones on it with no problem!! My DH will sure be glad - that is his favorite ride and we ride it over and over and over and....
