Also, there are a
ton of videos out there already taken from on the rides - and much better quality that you can find on YouTube. There's several different sites that have some, and the larger ones can be found on a couple sites. Sometimes you'll find them as video podcasts,
this site has some very nice high-rez 720x480 (DVD resolution) video of some rides from
Disneyland, along with a little podcast-style commentary before or after. If you are familiar with usenet, there's a group that often has larger, high-quality Disney park videos. There's at least one very big BitTorrent site. There's probably several more that I'm not aware of. You can even find high-def stuff sometimes.
Plus, you can buy stuff ready-made. Disney themselves sell DVDs at the park that include ride videos, probably higher-quality than anything you'll take. If you want real detail, look at the
Extinct Attractions stuff. (5 DVDs for 20,000 Leagues? That's right up my alley!

)
The point is, chances are that someone has already produced better-quality video than you will (and that's not meant as an insult, just saying that some people have tried over and over with some pretty nice equipment already.) If you are after it for the fun of it, great; but if you just want a record of the ride and don't care who did it, save yourself the trouble.
If you do video it, please do everyone a favor and do
not use the flip-out LCD screen! Those can be extremely distracting... just use the eyepiece LCD, please and thank you.
