What ride(s) would I need a poncho on?

Hi, there. DH and I are going to US/IoA for the first time ever in a couple of weeks! I bought one disposable poncho each for us. Are there many rides where you'd need one? I don't mind getting splashed on a little, but if it's going to take more than an hour to dry off, I want a poncho!

JPRA - A little splash, not much if sitting in the back.
Rip Saw Falls - Just after the "train" scene, the person in the front gets nailed with a wall of water. On the splash down, your chest will be soaked.
Popeye - Your butt will get soaked no matter what, the water comes in from the sides. It's your shoes you need to worry about. Just after getting in the boat, put them in the middle compartment. If you can't get your shoes off, hold your feet up.

I usually do the wet rides at the end just before going back to the hotel room.
I don't know if ponchos are worth it. Part of the fun of going on a wet ride is getting splashed. You'll dry off, it's your shoes you need to worry about on Popeye.

Our ponchos worked on all the water rides except Popeye. I think you could be sealed in a Zip-Lock Bag & still get soaked. Wouldn't miss this ride for the world, though; absolutely best "raging rapids" I've ever been on...nice added touch is the kind folks nailing you with water cannons on Me Ship the Olive. Thank goodness for the storage container to stow your shoes.

I only have rode Ripsaw once, but I remember getting totally soaked on that ride. After the drop you can still get wet.
On Popeye, it just depends where you sit, i've rode it and only gotten damp and then rode it again and got completely wet.

Our posteriors got soaked on Popeye and the rest of us got totally clobbered on Ripsaw (from both the splash and the river that flows in from the sides of the log). I actually had to buy a shirt to wear because I was soaked like I had jumped in a pool and I wasn't even in the front seat.

Honestly, on the hot days, wear a darker color (cotton that dries quickly, but not black) and enjoy those wet rides. I made the mistake of wearing white on those days - I learned my lesson pretty quickly - but it was literally so hot that it was a relief. I agree with Popeyes - you pretty much have to be in a water proof bubble to not get wet. Not only do you have the falls to contend with, but people with the water guns at the end - this is where I got really wet (on both Popeye's and Ripsaw Falls). We got off Ripsaw and were so soaked that it looked like we just went for a dip in the water. As for Jurassic Park, we rode this one about 4 times in a row and just had minor splashes - we sat at the back though. I'm sure if we were in the front, it would have been a different story.
