... I'm asking because I'd like to try all the rides while I'm at WDW, like ToT, RnR, Star Tours, etc, but I'm worried that I'd pull an Exorcist (i.e. throwing up on myself and everyone around me). I'm not afraid of heights or anything, but I do have a pretty bad case of motion sickness... Are all of roller coaster-type rides at WDW really that bad? Or should I just stick to It's A Small World? :p

The only one that gets me a little queasy is Body Wars. They keept the temp inside the ride at 98.6 or about that, so it is the heat that gets to me rather than the motion.

I do know that some of my friends are unable to do the motion simulators but are great on RNRC and TOT.

I don't know how you are with the motion-simulator type of rides, but those are the usual ones to do my friends in. I would say that if you are not at 100%, skip Star Tours and Body Wars and save them for a time when you are feeling better.

i am a fairly queezy chick. these rides i avoid:

the tea cups
the carrosel (its a cirlcle thing with these two)
Body Wars and Star Tours.

I can do everything else, but in moderation and using my head. (not when i am very hungry or had just had a large meal, not one right after the other unless the wait line is long enough to give my stomach a chance to calm down.)

Star Tours - Made me queasy, but being at Shoney's all you can eat breakfast buffett less than a hour before, may have contributed to the problem. I know the teacups would do it too, so I don't even try them.

Hi there... I've been prone to motion sickness all my life. Even reading in the car or riding in a seat facing backwards on the subway can bother me.

Body Wars and Star Tours are absolutely awful for me. I can do Tea Cups (but usually don't), as long as we don't spin the cup... just let it do its natural thing.

I am in love with Rock N Roller Coaster, but it can make me a little dizzy or even nauseous *if* I overdo it by going on a few times in a row.

I have a strange tendency to walk to the left when I'm trying to go straight after certain rides.

Hey, you're the only person besides me I've heard say the thing about being nauseous when you're hungry. I always hear people talking about getting nauseous when they're full, but for me being hungry is the worst. Eating is my cure for nausea.

DH suffers from nasty motion sickness. He can tolerate star tours well but he says thinking about body wars makes him nauseous

pouncingpluto - oh my yes! a lack of grub in my gut makes me more nausiated than anything else. (this could be why to stave off morning sickness i had to practicly eat constantly - no wonder i gained 48lbs!!!!:D

The TeaCups. Blah ! And the Turnstile that you exit from when you leave the Magic Kingdom on your last day ! :(

Yeah the tea cups can get me a little sick. I also feel sick when on the ride Test Track. When we're doing those different bumps, that gets more sick.

Body Wars and Star Tours are on my NO-NO list! I'm turning green just thinking about them! :(

Here's a tip if you want to see Body Wars or Star Tours without the possibility of being sick:

If they are not using all the simulators, ask one of the cast members if you can experience the attraction without the motion. I didn't know this was possible, until one time I was waiting for the others in my group to ride. An extremely nice cast member asked me if I'd like to at least see the film; she took me to an unused simulator, left the doors open, and I sat there all alone and watched the video portion!!

When it finished, I just got up and walked out the open door. (She left the doors open just in case it still bothered me. )

I've never "ridden" these, but at least I've seen them !!! :D

For me it's bodywars and some of the virtual "rides" at Disney Quest. The last time I was at Disney Quest I left with a headache and feeling very nauseous . Be careful on those things at DQ where you can design your own rollercoaster, we over did it;) .

I turn green at:
Carrosels; Dumbo; Teacups; Star Tours; Body Wars; WDW Buses

Last year finally took anti-motion sickness pills. I didn't get sick feeling at all but I'll still avoid the teacups. My daughter gets those going too fast!

The cost of these vacations turns me a little green too but I keep coming back for more!

I thought I was the only one the had problems with Body Wars. Star Tours is a very similar ride but it doesn't have the same effect on me.

I can't ride Body Wars or Star Tours. This is very strange, because I'm not normally a person who gets motion sickness easily. The first (and only!) time that DH and I went on Body Wars, I had to close my eyes...it made me really queazy! Also, the "Spiderman" ride at Universal made me feel sick the 2nd time we went on it in a row. That is such a cool ride, though! If we ever go to Universal again, I'm going to take a Bonine first so I can enjoy Spiderman over and over :)

Body Wars first thing in the morning ruined a full day at Epcot for me. I've tried Star Tours-with my eyes closed LOL.

Wouldn't even attempt the teacups - nasty experience in a UK theme park on a similar ride! That day was spolied also.
