I thought of a few more things that I used to love.......the arcade at the Contemporary used to be sooo awesome. They had a huge shooting gallery down there....and there used to be a little theatre in the one corner that showed a Classic Animated film everynight for $1.00. I remember seeing Little Mermaid there in `93!
TTA was way better when it was WEDWay....the narration was better than the silly one they have now. It was more informative!
Also, they used to have a show in Mickey's Birthday Land that was in the huge tent behind Mickey's house (you can see it on the train) The show has all the Disney Afternoon characters in it.........Yeah! Darkwing!
The big tent that is now a giftshop between Mickey and Minies house used to have all kinds of cool interactive stuff and photo ops! It's a good shop now, however!
Not sure if I would bring it back, but does anyone else remember "Magic Journeys" the 3D film at MK circa 1982? The best bit was the opening 30 seconds with all the cherry blossom!
Erikam:
Magic Journeys was one of my favorites!! Had a "surrealistic"" quality to it--. That original song is on that WDW 2 CD set, and it was great to hear it again.
definately the enchanted tiki room. i was so in love with it my first trip and it was very upsetting to come back to a couple of obnoxious cartoon birds running the show the next time. i have heard other people who like it but i dont at all.
i liked mr. toad but i like pooh better so im not so sure.
i never got to ride 20000 leagues under the sea. the first time i went it was open but my parents didnt want to go on it because they said it was lame and by the time i went back it was gone just like the tiki room :/. so id just like to see it once.
