What restaurants to stay away from

I have read many good reviews on restaurant and counter service places. Please tell me which places sit down and counter service that we absolutely should stay away from in the parks and at citiwalk.

I don't know about Mel's Diner but damo is right avoid International Food Festival the food is just awful.

The last time I ate at Mel's it was actually very good. The cheeseburger just came off the grill and wasn't too greasy...I was surprised.

I've never tried IFF so I don't know about the food there.

I also disliked Monster's Cafe. I do enjoy the place at IOA that is inside the tree. I think the rule of thumb is if they are on the meal plan for the parks do not eat there.

monster cafe- cold mushy pasta, and this was at opening so it wasn't like it had been cooked for a long time. I can't remember what, but something was wrong with pretty everyones meals
Mels- I don't think there is any meat in their burgers LOL. It tastes like nothing but cheap vegetable protein filler

IFAFF is actually pretty good IMHO

We too stay away from most places that are offered as part of the Meal Deal. Agree with others that Monsters Cafe is terrible.

Since NASCAR Cafe got its remodel, we think it sux now too. Hate it!

The Cirkus Mcgurkus Stupendous Cafe is on the meal deal, and they have some pretty tasty fried chicken. The cesar salad is good too. The personal pizza's are the same as you find around the park.

If you happen to go when they have the Organ player playing, it's super cute for the kids. Don't know if I'd go out of my way to eat there or anything, but it's themed so awesome it's worth just a peek if nothing else

We have ate at Nascar Grille and never really had a bad meal there Now Margarittaville is a diffrent story its too exspensive and burgers are tastless but the valcanoe nachos was the only good thing we had there

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but ribs don't come from the pig or cow with hair on them.

I've posted this before, but please please please steer clear of Richter's in US. It was AWFUL!!! The hamburger meat they used was disgusting!!! I wish I would have had a heads up on this place beforehand b/c yikes! But I've got your back.

Where do you eat ribs cause where I come from the ribs are skinned and hairless
No just joking with ya but being serious at Nascar Grille the only thing I have eaten there is burgers and pulled pork sandwiches and all have been great.

Agreed with the above: Circus McGurkis, Mels, IFFF, Monster's Cafe ...actually we ate at NASCAR last summer for lunch and thought it was pretty good...nothing to write home about, but not bad either

Yeah..I'll go along with you there. The one time I ate there, the burger wasn't exactly fresh and the bread was stale. I haven't been back!
