Hi!

This will be our 4th trip, and I'm wondering what restaurants I've overlooked. We've gotten some favourites but I don't want to stop trying new ones. Which ones should we not miss this trip?

We will be dh36, me32, ds4 and dd7weeks.

Here is what we've tried so far...

Boma (a fav)
Jiko
Ohana
Mama Melrose
Hollywood and Vine
Chef Mickey's
Alfredo's
Rose and Crown
Trail's End
WCC (Loved it)
Tony's (dont like it)
Garden Grill
Breakfastasourus (sp!)

What are we missing??

Thanks! pixiedust:

I enjoyed these 2 character meals a lot: 1900 PF for dinner and Cape May Cafe for breakfast . A couple new ones I am trying this May, due to so many great reviews are: Kona and Le Cellier. Happy eating :goodvibes

Just back this month from our 4th trip too! Here are the places we ate that were new to us:

Biergarten - liked this so much more than anticipated. It was the only buffet we did all week, the food was varied, kid friendly and tasty. We had a wonderful table right next to the dance floor that we shared with a nice set of grandparents and their two young grandsons. We were seated 10 min. before the show began so we had a drink and salad during the first show, ate dinner between shows than had dessert during the next show! :thumbsup2

Wolfgang Puck Cafe - wouldn't do again.

Prime Time 50's - really liked the food and fun, would recommend this.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - fun and good food, worth the effort of getting there. We taxiied from BC, then took the boat to MK for eve. emh.

YCGalley - breakfast, good but nothing spectacular.

LTT lunch - a nice place to get out of the crowd for a decent sit down lunch.

Not new but we really again liked Teppanyaki, Marakkesh and Spoodles breakfast.

I'll give another vote to Biergarten...not only is the food great but the show and atmosphere are excellent as well. Kids there really seem to enjoy it.
Another great WS spot is San Angel Inn while it's not a big fun show like Biergarten the ambiance is really cool especially if you get a table overlooking El Rio Del Tiempo. :wave2:

We were pleasantly suprised by Sci Fi. Keep it simple, burgers and shakes. Really good onion rings! We found it to be relaxing. The kids sitting up front, watching tv, us in the back of the car. Could it get any better than this? :)

Since you made it to the Polynesian for Ohana, try the Kona Cafe there. Very good food - children's menu too. Not the games or view of the castle ... that Ohana offers but I enjoyed the food and quieter atmosphere much better. AMAZING DESSERTS!!!!!

THanks and keep 'em comin'! I think we have to try 1900 buffet and/or Cape May. I have to check and see which characters are where b/c I don't think ds will give a HOOT about Mary Poppins! I've been trying to get him to watch that movie with me for about a year now...

Biergarten is one I hadn't considered. I'm not a big meat eater but I do like Epcot so maybe that's one to try.

I hadn't thought of Kona either but I like the atmosphere in Ohana so maybe will give that a try.

I've been scared to try the Sci Fi...the unofficial guide pans it so hard! Maybe we'll try that this time. I can easily sit through the muppet show a few times in the air conditioning with the baby while Howard and Gabe watch that silly stunt show! (just my bias... ;) )

I think LTT is going to be a must-do this time as well.

I forgot in the original post that we also did Marakesh. I was a bit disappointed with it but I think it had to do with what I ordered. The atmosphere was interesting and in general I like Eastern food so I think I just picked a dud from the menu.

Thanks again everyone! pixiedust:

Some of our favorites:

Le Cellier
LTT
Hollywood Brown Derby
Kona Cafe
Grand Floridian Cafe
1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare and the Grand Floridian Cafe are really good.

ETA: Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace are also yummy.
