I just now thought of this....:scared:

I was going to pay for all our meals with Disney gift cards and someone just told me that you cannot use them at Blue Zoo? Is this true? Also is there any other restaurants that I should worry about?

We are going to the following,

Citricos,
Artist Point,
Monsieur Paul,
Blue Zoo,
Be our Guest,
Kona Cafe,
Jiko
and Boma's...

So I just called Blue Zoo and they do not accept Disney gift cards....:sad2:

So now I'm really worried about the other restaurants...:worried:

Of the restaurants you listed only Bluezoo doesn't accept Disney GCs because it is at the Swan/Dolphin. If you decide to change your restaurants none of the Swan and Dolphin or Shades Of Green restaurants accept Disney GCs. Also a couple of the food stands on the Boardwalk.

:goodvibes Thank goodness! It would have been terrible if we got there and couldn't pay!:crazy2:

Good question! I was going to pay with some gift cards too and hadn't even thought of that.

All of the other places you have listed accept Disney gcs. The swan/dolphin aren't Disney resorts so they don't take them. Some of the stands on the Boardwalk don't either. Specifically, the small hotdog/corn dog stand doesn't. Most places do take them.

We pay for almost everything with gift cards while at wdw. "Most " places on property accept the gift cards. Essentially if it is on Disney property and it is a Disney owned establishment your gift cards will be accepted. As others have said Swan/Dolphin establishments are an exception as it is not techinally owned by Disney. I would say you should have a "back-up" form of payment (cash or credit) just in case but I wouldn't worry about it much....you should be fine :)

All the restaurants you listed are operated by Disney except for Monsieur Paul and Bluezoo. As you've already discovered, Bluezoo won't take Disney gift cards because of its location at the Dolphin resort. I don't believe you can use Disney gift cards anywhere at the Swan or Dolphin to pay for anything. Could be wrong about some of the gift shops.

Monsieur Paul will accept the gift card because it's located inside a Disney theme park.

I am glad I came across this thread. We plan to pay for our ADRs and other meals/snacks in the parks with Disney giftcards and never thought to check who does and doesn't accept them.

A few of the smaller food carts in Epcot don't take them either. Just ask before you order. But it's only the smaller ones.

.

the one gift shop in the Dolphin is actually run by Disney ... so you can use your gift cards in there... ( just look at the name tags!! they are Disney!! ) :) --- dont know about the Swan..

if you are staying on Disney property, just charge everything on your KTTW card and pay the balance with gift cards the night before you check out.. we do this, that way we dont have to worry about taking enough gift cards.

You can't charge on your Disney KTTW cards at the Swan or Dolphin. They only accept room charges if you are staying with them.
