We will be at SSR with our van in July for 6 nights. We NEVER drive so I am sure we will want to grab a lunch or two maybe a dinner. There is nothing right now that is jumping out at me as far as making an ADR. So maybe we will wing it this trip. However....what is right around there?? I know I have a Chevy's close to OKW/SSR when our car service is bringing us in. Thanks

4 restaurants that come to mind fairly close by are Uno, Bahama Breeze, Carrabas, Outback, I'm sure there are many more along SR535.

Red Lobster is in the same place as Gooding's. We ate there Saturday night. Standard Red Lobster pricing. No rip-offs just because of the location like I expected. Fairly fast service especially considering where it is. We waited maybe 30 minutes for a table. 5 minutes to it from OKW/SSR even in bad traffic.

I think there's an Uno's, Taco Bell, McDonalds and a Perkins in the same place but don't hold me to it. ;)

There's an IHOP and an Orlando Ale House and several more right down the road towards Winn-Dixie maybe a half mile max.

Go up to 535 and make a left. Giordonis, Macaroni Grill, Joes Crab Shack and Steak and Shake to name a few. We ate that way nightly when we go

:thumbsup2We have most of those restaurants at home here. Isn't it funny that most people would think "Why would she want to eat offsite?" :rotfl2: Well we have been to Disney a lot and sure there are faves we like.....but we also get tired of eating at "Disney" SO.....for this trip..we will eat offsite some too. These all sound good. Sure we could eat that here, but to be honest some of these places are better than some TS places at Disney. There I said it. :lmao: Keep em coming. THANKS ;)

I felt the same way as I started planning our next trip. There's a thread on here somewhere that I started with "Offsite restaurants" where I got some really great replies, but I left my notebook with my notes in it at school, and the Search function is off but I know Bahama Breeze was mentioned. We try to not eat out much during the rest of the year(sometimes we succeed, sometimes we don't) so even the restaurants that we might go to sometimes are still a treat--and when we can all eat for $50-$60 while we're "at" WDW it feels like a bargain:rotfl:

We usually try to hit Carrabas--we don't have one near us. And dh loves Joe's Crab Shack. Did I dream it or is there a Fuddrucker's near the Goodings' area? It's been a while since we've eaten there, we may try and hit that next trip.

Yes, these are all in the shopping area where the Gooding's store is located. Also is Chevy's and a TGI Fridays in the same area. There is also an Olive Garden close to Chevy's but not in the same parking area.

There is a Landry's, Golden Corral, Bennigans if you make a right off of Hotel Plaza Blvd on to 535 and go under I-4. Also the way to the Walmart a little futher past Bennigans. I think there is a Wendy's and maybe a few other fast food places.

Uno's is great. They almost every time have a special where you can buy one pizza and get a 2nd for 1/2 price. You can get them uncooked and cook them later in your villa (assuming you have a 1 and/or 2 bedroom or grandvilla). We usually get one spinacoli and one cheese for the kids, cook it that night, and because the pizza is soooo thick and filling, we usually wind up with another couple of meals for leftovers. Great and yummy value for the price :)

Of course you have all the DTD ones, but it sounds like you mean right outside Disney.

I think there is a Landry' Seafood place and Panera Bread by the outlet mall on the way to Publix.

Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Chilis, take a left at Crossroads all are on SR 535

And most important there's a new Sweet Tomatoes in the Crossroads Plaza too. That's the one with Goodings.

And in Dec we bought salad and breadsticks, and sauce from Olive Garden. Cooked our own pasta, and saved a lot. The salad lasted for a few days.
