Hey there. I will be booking our 1st family trip to Disney this week. We are going 9/10-9/14 and will be taking advantage of the free DDP. It will be myself, my husband, and our daughter age 2. I wanted to know what restaurants you would recommend for us? So far, this is how I have our trip planned:

10th: Magic Kingdom
11th: Blizzard Beach and downtown disney
12th: Disney Hollywood Studios
13th: Animal Kingdom
14: Finish our last day at Magic Kingdom again

I'm pretty sure we will be doing Crystal palace. But that's all I have thought out. I haven't been to Disney since I was a child so I have no clue where we should eat. Thanks for the help!

Our favorites taking into consideration you have a two year old:

Magic Kingdom -- Crystal Palace for breakfat (only meal we have done), lunch or dinner with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet--a buffet
Downtown Disney -- we have only eaten at Fulton's and Earl of Sandwich (Fulton's is not on dining plan)
Hollywood Studios -- We do not like Hollywood & Vine at all and refuse to eat there, but since you have a 2 year old you might want to consider it for buffet lunch with Playhouse Disney characters. Otherwise, Sci-Fi Di or 50's Prime Time would be fun
Animal Kingdom -- you could consider the breakfast at Tusker House with Donald Duck. We are trying Yak & Yeti--new restaurant in September--it has gotten mixed reviews
Magic Kingdom -- We love the Plaza Restaurant -- salads, sandwiches (burgers, reubens, club, grilled chicken), great shakes and GREAT desserts or there is Liberty Tree Tavern (character meal at dinner only) or Tony's (we like both of these places for lunch)

A bit off topic, why did you chose to add the waterparks? As its your first family trip there is so much to do at the parks and your resort I'm not sure you'll actually need a water park day, unless of course you're just a big fan of them or really want to do a paticular attraction there.

Now for the EATS:
MK: Crystal Palace is great choice
DHS: Consider the Playhouse Disney character meal (B or L) at Hollywood & Vine it is designed for the really young ones to enjoy
AK: We had dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge after our park day; its a very short Disney bus ride, the Lodge itself is worth spending some time at and the meal is absolutely wonderful, so arrive hungry, not full of park snacks. Boma is a very unique and delicious buffet go and enjoy
MK2: You could plan to eat at the park again or try one of the restaurants at a nearby resort:
Chef Mickey's character meal at the Contemporary, kind of a flag ship character meal (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto), bright, noisy, fun and delicious (walk or monorail to MK)
1900 Park Fare has Pooh at Breakfast and Cindy, step sister etc at dinner (Monorail or Boat to MK)
If you decide to eat in the park consider the Plaza, at the end of your trip a light meal might be just what you want and you can have the meal still in the middle of the MK Magic on Main St.; dessert there would be a fitting end to a Disney vacation

if you are also looking for CS suggestions:
Main Street Bakery in MK has sandwiches and amazing desserts for CS meals
We didn't get to eat there but Columbia Harbor House has a good menu
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons and then consider any country you want to try
Sadly we were disappointed with Peco Bill's but keep reading, others may really like it

One of our fave. lunches was at Flametree BBQ at AK - very good. We also enjoyed the African buffet at AK and Donald's Breakfast'asaurus (spell?)

We enjoyed Crystal Palace and loved Chef Mickey's. We did not care for Liberty Tree.
