Hi all,

BF and I are going to be married on January 22, 2009 at WDW! :cool1:

We are doing an Escape Wedding. For those of you unfamiliar with Disney Weddings, this is a Wedding for up to 18 guests. As such, Disney does not do a room block for your guests.

It looks like we are going to have our wedding at Sea Breeze Point, near the Boardwalk. The wedding will be held at either 10:30 AM (probably) or 12:00 PM (if there is too much fuss about the first time). I am putting together a newsletter right now, as well as developing some information for my knot site.

Finally to my question:

I need hotels for all budget ranges. Though we won't be having many guests, the ones that will be in attendence come from very diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I wanted to know what the best choices, in your opinions, are for moderate and value resorts and why these are your choices, have never utilized these facilities myself. For delux, we are going to reccomend Boardwalk (we love it there and that is where our wedding will be) and S/D, as some of our group are teachers, or nurses and may be able to recieve a discount. We won't have any small children in attendance. Basically, I want to do the leg work for them and narrow it down to reasonable choices so they won't be overwhelmed!

TIA,
Amy

For a moderate, I would recommend the Port Orleans French Quarter. This is a great resort and is small & compact so it's easy to get everywhere here.

For a value, I would recommend the All Star Movies. Easy to get around and we had great service here.

I second the last poster POFQ is the best Mod especially for adults that want to hit DTD because it has a boat. Also ASMo would get my vote. Great theming and an all around nice resot.

Congratulations!!!! party:

For a moderate I would second POFQ or even POR. POFQ feels smaller and more quaint than POR. The grab-n-go food areas are nice at both resorts, the pools are good (POFQ's is better imho), people can take horse drawn carriage rides at POR, and you can take a leisurely boat ride to DTD/PI from either. I can't comment on the buses since we always have our car but I believe they share between the POR & POFQ.

Good luck with your planning and enjoy!!

Congratulations!!! I would suggest ASMu for value resort because it is newly rennovated and a great place to stay. POR would be my favorite of the mods. The atmosphere is great and it is easy to get around at. If you have couples going, the mansions have a more romantic feel to them to me.

Pop century for a value

Por or POFQ or CSR for a moderate. if your guests have trouble getting around then POFQ.

deluxes - BW or BC

We went to a wedding at WDW in 2006 and the choices were ASMo and CBR. Everyone ended up staying at ASMo which was a great place to stay. We all had a great time. We were the only ones to take advantage of Free Dining, no one else thought it was a good deal. :confused3

Thanks for all of thes suggestions! They are very helpful! Ntsammy, that is crazy!

Totally agree with this.

POP would be my hands down choice for value.

CSR is a beautiful grown up resort, but they think they will do the DTD evenings, the boat to POFQ/POR would be nice.
