What resort would you choose?

I've been to the following resorts with friends/family and am planning a 'solo' trip for Feb 2009. I've loved each resort for different reasons and each has their pros and cons, but what would you say is the most 'suitable' for a 30 something female who likes to be pampered (and also have some 'park' time)?

Yacht Club Concierge/Club
The only con I have for this is the small lounge

Boardwalk Inn Concierge/Club
I loved this resort, but not being able to choose the view was a big downer for me (all standard concierge rooms are either garden view/boardwalk view but you cannot prebook your room view category unlike the Yacht Club)

Grand Floridian Royal Palm Club (main building concierge)
This was a big 'wow' for me but it was a little 'far' out.

I'm having a hard time deciding so thought I'd ask you solo trip experts for what you'd think the best one would be for my first ever solo trip.

Thanks

Clare

If you wanted to be close to 2 of the parks and all the people I would go with either the Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht Clubs.

If you wanted a little more seclusion and or convenience of downtown Disney I would go with either Saratoga Springs or Port Orleans, still close to a couple of the parks.

Those are the ones' that I have been rotating through the past 10 years!!

Thanks Steve, I think on reflection I'm going to be better off at one of the Epcot resorts, at least that way I can be near to the action.

I am kind of partial to BW myself. Being close to EPCOT and MGM is a big plus for me.

Hands down/the BW or BC. We're so spoiled, can't imagine not being able to walk to Epcot/World Showcase or even MGM.

I think it's going to have to be the Epcot resorts really isn't it :)

Now all I've got to decide is BWI or YC (never really liked the BC) :confused3

As you can tell by my siggie, I'm thirty-something, and I vote the Poly! :goodvibes

This is why I chose it: (1) proximity to TTC and convenience of all modes of transportation (yay, monorail!); (2) GF spa close by, via walk or monorial; (3) I'm a tropical kinda gal; and finally, (4) I still get lei'd :rotfl: Sorry! Early morning

OMG I am having such a hard time deciding! Even though I think the Epcot resorts will suit me better for being able to walk into Epcot, my favourite park, I still really want to return to the GF for it's luxury, but now neverlandpixie you've made my choice even harder ..... I've never stayed at the Poly, and maybe it's time I tried it! :confused3 :rotfl2:

And if you want concierge level, the Polynesian has one of the best lounges
IMHO. I didn't fork over the Magic Kingdom view, but I got a great view
from the lounge itself.

But if you want to be close to your favorite park (Epcot), nothing beats
the convenience of the International Gateway. I know, I know...decisions,
decisions! :)

Am working my way around staying at the resorts at WDW and have a few left to go... different stays have different needs for why I pick some of them (even being a DVC member). A group of us are going in May and I picked BWV because we will be at JellyRolls at least one night... But if I know I am going to be going for something partlicular I try to be close in resort. Other times I go for the spa being close by :) Between what you listed (BW, BC/YC and GF) all are great, and you can request a view at anytime, just not guarenteed. The Poly is one I need to stay at sometime, and the points that NeverlandPixie are good ones! Good luck on your decision.

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty sure I'll go with one of the Epcot resorts - my favourite parks are MGM and Epcot so it makes sense to stay nearby :goodvibes
