What resort do you absolutely have NO desire to stay at?

We have been trying to stay at all the deluxe resorts to give each Disney vacation a different feel. We have been quite surprised by some resorts we thought we wouldn't like. I wasn't sure about the Grand Floridian, as many have posted, but we loved it. I thought the Poly looked dated and dark- we loved it! We also thought the Contemporary looked too cement-y. But we loved it! They are my top 3 now! So glad we tried them. We ended up less than thrilled with some resorts that we thought we'd LOVE- Wilderness Lodge and BWI. They are beautiful resorts but didn't become favorites. We love the Epcot area and like Beach, Yacht, Dolphin and Swan and they were what we expected- fabulous resorts. While a quick visit to the resort to check it out helps form an opinion we have found that a stay is usually quite different. We only have AKL to try next. Can't wait!

The only resort dh and I have said we would never want to stay in is GF. It may seem strange to some but we find it to be overly stuffy and full of hoity toitys. We ate once at 1900 pf and to me it was just ehhhh but i was comparing it to Chef mickey which we love!! Just not our speed I guess. Although I do enjoy the holiday decor there and always check that out.
We are BLT people 100% these days!!

Any of the All Star resorts, stayed at one years ago and found it to be cramped, crowded and noisy. The Contemporary, just too modern for us and although I would probably like it, hubby always says no to WL because it's too much like home.

All of the values except AoA. We stayed in a LM room when they first opened Sept 2012. It's kind of a been there done that moment for us. Probably won't stay there again, but I'm glad we experienced it.

we've never stayed at a value, nor have any desire to - they are just a bit too loud, in so many ways, for our tastes.
bottom of our "have stayed at, doubt we'll return" are OKW, POR/FQ, and BC/BCV (loved the less chaotic YC though).

thank goodness there are so many others that we really like :thumbsup2

Honestly, the GF does not appeal to me at all. The outside and the lobby looks gorgeous but the rooms are just "meh" to me.

POP is starting to look old to me. I can see why some people (maybe those 40+) could like it but I don't see the appeal to young kids at all. But maybe that's because I've looked at the AoA pics so much and it's so vibrant looking compared to the other values.

CBR:confused3 Just don't get it..

After that would be the allstar's Sports then Music then movies....But I would definitely stay there if I had no choice.....Even CBR if thats all that was available:scared:

Could be because I always stayed there as a kid but I love the CR. The Monorail going through is whats "magical" lol.

It is really cool to see the monorail go through. It's quiet and very convenient especially if it's raining.

Contemporary... Just don't like the looks of it or the looks of the rooms.

Any of the values... Just seem so noisy to me.

I can't say I wouldn't want to stay in any of them, but at the bottom of my list is All Star Sports since I'm not a sports fan...Boardwalk's theming doesn't excite me much either.

I would love to stay at all Disney resorts some day, but some are more appealing than others. Of the resorts we've stayed at, I would not return to the Poly or CSR. Our last trip to the Poly was very disappointing---bad service, bad food and dirty pool. CSR was OK, but very spread out and we didn't love the outdoor walkways or the way it felt more like a motel.

Of those we have not already visited, I am in no hurry to stay at CBR, BWI or any of the values. CBR decor doesn't really appeal to me. Also, I vacation a lot in the Caribbean, so the faux Caribbean is not that exciting. I like the public areas of the BWI, but I don't like the way some rooms face the Boardwalk and presumably are noisy or the way you have to walk to the Boardwalk to eat. The clown pool doesn't exactly attract me, but I could live with it. The values don't look like a fit for us because the rooms are smaller and there are so many of them. We don't like crowds and we like sit down restaurants, not food courts. In spite of that, if someone called me right now and invited me to WDW at any of the resorts I just mentioned, I would be packing.

Our goal it to stay at all of the Disney resorts. But, I must admit that the value resorts are at the low end of excitement for me. What we will probably do is a longer stay and we'll split the stay with a value first and moving to one of our favorites for the end of our vacation.

Maybe we'll find that the values are a great bargain and the themes are to our liking and we'll make them a standalone stay.

I wouldn't say no to any of them but the All Stars would be my last choice. Don't care for over the top theming. Not sure I could do Boardwalk though I'd like to visit. Maybe if i am not planning on swimming- the clown pool freaks me out.

The various themes/decor wouldn't sway me. I could enjoy them all.

My "no way" would be sharing a full bed and lack of dining options. I would rather not deal with a food court only resort. We stayed at AOA and enjoyed the room but the food court was difficult with 3 young kids because their choices had to be confined to one bay for ease. And, our breakfast there was terrible. As a family of 5, we're limited as long as we're vacationing with the kids.

I've stayed at Poly, AOA suite, and POR. I freely admit that Poly was the most enjoyable of the three but we had also splurged on CL. EVERYTHING was just so convenient.
I'm saving for a 2015 trip and thinking CR. Again, convenience with younger kids and several dining options. I'd rather save until deluxe was in my budget.

Based on the above and going with kids, no thank you to
Values
CSR - I'd rather pay for location than one of the suites!
Fort Wilderness Cabins

The Poly. It was my least favourite for room decor. Really don't like the look of it!

And WL- wouldn't be my cup of tea.
