What resort do you absolutely have NO desire to stay at?

This thread is fascinating - I'm surprised at so many people discounting OKW because it's 'not like a hotel' or 'too much like home'. That's why I love it - it's like I *live* at Disney for 2 weeks! :laundy: Granted, we get Mousekeeping as we're cash reservations - I don't think I'd like it so much if I had to clean.

I would immediately discount all values. I went to eat at Pop, and took a tour bus from All-Star one time, and the communal areas just reminded me of a motorway service station back in the UK!

I liked visiting family at POFQ - but was shocked at how small the room was, coming from OKW. May stay there, not for 2 weeks though.

Other Mods:
CSR - too conferencey
CBR - looks nice enough, but I'd miss the actual Caribbean!
FW cabins - I'm not an 'outdoorsy type'

Deluxes/DVC:
GF - I agree with the word 'stuffy'. I'm sure it's lovely, but I don't feel fancy enough to stay there!
AKL - *Love* the food and theming, but it's just too far away. I have seriously considered though.
CR - Not sure of the concrete/monorail station. It reminds me a bit of an airport hotel.

I'm kind of running out of places for my hypothetical next trip! I, of course, would be grateful of staying anywhere, but when I am spending so much hypothetical money, I find a million and one hypothetical problems with every idea!

Loved look of YC/BC - but waited at bus stop and so many buses went by full, shared with other Epcot resorts. Same with WL, I'm nervous about shared buses. I use an ECV in Disney.

Looks like I need to win the lottery and go for the Poly, or it's back to OKW, despite promises I'd try a new place this time around...

I have no desire to stay at Boardwalk, wilderness lodge, okw( tried it x2). Other thank that I am game for any place

I've learned that when it comes to Disney-Never say Never!
So true!

I was always with the folks who had no desire to stay at the GF. But as it turned out, I found a great rate there, we tried it, and now we love it, too. Even though it appears to be "stuffy", IMO, it's not. (At least no more than anywhere else.) And 5 minutes (or less) to MK by monorail, and 5 minutes back by boat, is a beautiful thing when you're hot and exhausted.

So don't count anywhere out! Each resort is charming in its own way. :lovestruc

I'm not gonna lie - if the only way for me to get to Disney was to stay at one of my "no desire" resorts, they would quickly become "desirable". :rotfl2:

We have no desire to stay at the All Star Sports or the All Star Music. Out of the resorts we have already stayed at, we have no desire to go back to Old Key West, or Coronado Springs.

The GF does absolutely nothing for me. It's nice enough, but other than the proximity to MK, it really hasn't anything that BW doesn't have. And I can walk to two different parks at BW.
I've stayed at AS Music twice now...I feel no need to return to any of the All Stars. The only reason I would go there again is if that was the only way I could be at WDW!

CSR

Too Big, boring themeing, Food choices mediocre, Too Big.
never again!!!

GF.... just seems too formal for our family. Love to visit 1900 Park Fare, but wouldn't want to stay there.
BW... can't get past the creepy clown pool.
Love POR and FW campground! :)

Any of the value resorts. They're just too loud and busy; I feel like I need sunglasses just to look at the pictures of them. I will also never stay at CBR again. It should not take 45 minutes on the bus just to leave the hotel property before heading to a park!

We are at CSR now and I was not too excited about it but it's actually really nice aesthetically. We have no desire to try CBR or POFQ, have already done POR, and deluxe was out of our price range. We also have no desire for the values either so that's how we ended up at CSR.

Thank you for the positive comment regarding CSR. We have this resort on our list of possibilities for our next trip.

No desire to go to the values as the decor gives me a headache just looking at pictures. I am not one for the "in your face" decor.
Would never stay at BW... The clown pool is WAY creepy and have you seen the chairs in the lobby? YIKES!

Wouldn't say no to any of them, but this is the bottom of my list:

Grand Floridian (Maybe)
Yachtsman (Maybe)
Contemporary
Caribbean Beach
Values

Of course because of the time of year we travel to WDW(June for right now until our DS graduates high school) that is a major factor in the decision. We try to stay at moderates because the values(besides AoA) don't have covered bus stops. CSR looks like it would be a HOT zone in the summer months, not enough shade. I would not rule out CSR if we traveled in the cooler months like the month of Nov. Sports would not be my first value choice. We love sports(that is our life) and we live in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is sports like Orlando is tourism. I would never reject a visit to WL but not in the winter, we have lot of the same decor here in Pittsburgh. Give me color, light and tropical themes: So favorite choices: CBR, POR, BC(if no money factor) and Poly(No money factor) I would never have issues with ASMO, ASMU or AoA if during the cooler months.

For us: any of the All Stars, CSR, and CBR. We love Port Orleans and have booked French Quarter once and Riverside twice. Next year will be Beach Club and I'm so, so excited for that!

Bottom of our list: YC, BC, and any value. I can't say I will never stay at any of them, but they are at the bottom of the list :goodvibes

Any of the values (we did have a brief stay at ASMO once) but especially ASp because sports just isn't our thing. The same things that many people love about the values, the bright and over-the-top Disney-ness, drive us away. I need less stimulation, LOL. And bigger beds.
