What Rate Would The Week Before Easter Be

I am looking to book in April of 2009. I was looking at the Calendar Easter is April 14th in 2009. I am thinking of booking April 4th-13th. Would it be a peak week since it is the week before easter?
I am sure the crowds are big the week before?

Yes, it will be peak season. Peak usually runs from sometime in Feb until a week or so after easter.

Well, isn't it all part of spring break? I would think that any time from late Feb even into May would be considered spring break somewhere (when i went to college I had friends across the country, and we all had our breaks at different tiems, for instance)...

Still Spring Break that week in New England. THe closer you can go to May, the better.

We just went this past week, April 4th-8th and did not pay peak season rates, we paid mid season. We just kind of like to do it around April since its my DD bday April 5th, then mine April 20th, then DW May 3rd, so its kind of a bday present for the three of us.

I think that next year peak season will end the sunday after easter. We will be going for our kids spring break, which is always the 3rd week in April. In years when it has fallen after easter, regular season usually begins the sunday or monday of our vacation. Used to be we had to make 2 reservations, to get the lower rate for the second part of the vacation, we usually arrive on Friday. Now with the new system, we will hopefully be paying the regular rate for most of our vacation. We will be arriving on the
17th and hopefully on the 19th or 20th the rates will go down.
