What Points are Used First

When I bought BWV resale there was 75 2008 UY points banked into 2009. When I book a stay, do they automatically subtract the banked points first? I haven't decided if I'm going to bank any of my 2009 into 2010 yet, and I don't want that option taken away from me before I decide. I'm just a little confused.

They are suppose to use the banked points first but sometimes they make mistakes. It's best to discuss it with them before they book the reservation.

MS is supposed to use the banked points first, but it doesn't always happen that way.

It's a good practice to ask for a points status review at the end of every call. MS usually does that automatically, but ask if they do not. If your records don't match their records, that's the time to get it straightened out. Much easier to resolve misunderstandings when they happen.

You can call today and ask for a status if you are worried.

I always have my point totals figured out myself before the call, so when they give me the post-reservation total I know if they've made a mistake.

MS always has gone over the totals at the end of the call.
